Del's Atari in the USA 2004

Handy Atari Accessories

This month I had the chance to chat with Rick D. at More Than Games Atari web site. Rick is a long time Atari user in the Austin and Houston Texas area. At December's Atari meeting Rick brought out several of his 8-bit goodies and I thought it would be nice to share this with our Atari readers.

Rix C.A.T. has several new Atari items available from More Than Games:

[Screen-shot: Atari 8-bit A/V block]

Atari 8 bit computer audio/video break-out box (EH0101). This adapter brings composite video, chroma, luminance, and mono audio out to RCA jacks and a S-Video jack. A far superior picture than the standard RF connector. All-in-one that fits neatly behind the A8 unit. $25.00. (Note: not all A8 computers had chroma and luminance brought out to the monitor jack, information included)

Atari Jaguar audio/video break-out box (GJ0001)

This adapter brings composite video, chroma, and luminance to RCA and S-Video jacks, and stereo audio out to a 1/8-inch jack. A far superior picture than the standard RF connector on the back. All-in-one that fits neatly behind the Jaguar unit. $30.00.

Atari Jaguar BJL game loader system modification kit (GJ0002) and cable adapter (GJ0003). The mod kit gets soldered inside the Jaguar. Once done (or with game cartridges that have the loader software built in) you can download games and program files to the Jaguar memory to run. The adapter plugs into the Jaguar controller 2 port or the PC parallel port. You supply a DB25MF cable or a HD15MF cable (fully wired!) to hook up the two machines. Software for PC, demos, and instructions on CD with mod kit. The adapter is $12.00, mod kit is $20.00.

Check out these very cool new products for your Atari 8 bit and Jaguar systems.

Until next time...
