Atari Copyist DTP
By Cris Sion
Released as Freeware June,2000
Cris Sion has now released the Atari version of Copyist DTP. Thankyou
Cris.Download it below. There are two discs as well as an installation Doc.It
is recommended to use this program on a Hard disc as it would be very slow on a
Floppy only system. It works on a 030 machine such as a TT030 and Falcon as well
as the "standard" St. Although it will work with One meg of RAM, Four or more
is Better!
After running the CONFIGME.PRG and getting your paths set, run the DTP.PRG
which is the main program. From there you can load files as well as start from
"scratch" and also import KCS sequence files, pro24 as well as standard midi
files for transcription.Copyist is best used as an MPE module in Omega II KCS.
This is where it really shines as an intergrated componant of KCS.Whatever you
work on in KCS can be instantly transcribed in Copyist. Of course the key is
loading the Copyist.INF into KCS on the MPE menu.Tiger Cub can also be
used(available on the KCS and TIGERCUB page)as it accepts MPE modules. You just
need enough memory for this to work however, so Four megs or more is
recommended.
By hitting the HELP key you get a complete help system to navigate through the keyboard shortcuts as well as other help topics.Hopefully a manual will be offered as a download, however until that time you will have to do with the HELP system and the Installation Notes as well as experimentation (which is the best method) .
After Dr T software, Cris went on to form Sion Software where he has developed further his Copyist Program as well as Quickscore Elite for Windows.
