- The 2013 exxos album -

& Protracker remasterings 2015

Years ago while making my own protracker tunes, I decided to try my luck on the PC. Most tunes were created some years ago, but I remixed some in 2013 making them more cool ;)

If your into trance/techno tracker tunes then you should like these :) If you rip these please credit! All tunes are free to download. However if you feel the need to send me lots of cash then please get in touch!

Thanks go to Dawnie for "un-messing" all the "files of chaos" allowing me to edit them and produce 2013 mixes :)

oh.. The disclamer...In no event will the author be liable from brain damage or the loss of the will to live either during or after listening to the "exxos album". Listeners hear the tunes at their own risk entirely.

2013 mixes were remixes of older tunes. Though probably not really noticable which ones were remixed. Most of the pre-2013 tunes were sequenced when I was feeling really ill. I don't know why, but I never seem to have the pacience to sit and do a tune unless I am really ill. Some early dates could be wrong, I think some were done in 2002, but no biggies either way.

Anywhos, the 2013 mixes were done as some of the early remixes always had something in them which bugged me and I NEEDED to change them! I think they ended up as a totally different tune, but oh well :) I used lots of really cool sounds and riff's and my constant abuse of "Middle C" is legendary.

TRACK9 aka "scary tune" I wanted to use a Tesla Coil sound in a tune (as Tesla coils are cool) So the only way to do this is with a scary type tune. The monster of the sparks is coming to take you to "the other side" ;)

TRACK5 aka "big dreams" - Was kinda inspired by "Equinox" where lots of little songs made up the entire album. Thats pretty much where the similarity ended ;) I wanted to do a song with many parts which made up a larger tune. I managed 4 parts then gave up as was taking wayyyyy to long to sequence lol

TRACK8 - I wanted to do a nice slow tune with minimal instruments to see how it turned out. Apparently its called "tri-angular sounds" whatever that means, it sounds cool so thats good enough for me :)

TRACK12 - Was a bass sub type song. I just wanted to do a simple bass song with lots of vrooowammm's in it :) There maybe a bit of a vocal riff in there "somewhere"..

TRACK13 - aka sh*t - well cant tell you much about it, other than its just really really messed up "odd". Probably much vodka was consumed during its making. It uses many cool sounds and effects so thats all that matters... There was in the making a part 2, but it never got very far. There was only so many 100's of times one can listen to the same sequences even with added vodka... For some reason some sequences sounded like "polly put the kettle on", I have no idea why.

TRACK15 - Got talking to a chap in a band, Roger someone, apparently suggested there should be a sections in a song, like chorus or something or another. It was my "home work" apparently to do what he was talking about. Anyway, no idea what he was on about, so I re-mixed "knight rider".

TRACK16 - Was probably the inital start of TRACK13. Where it got remixed a few times until it became a whole new track.

TRACK17 - Was a remix by Roger with electric guitar and vocals, Its taken me so long to put this page together I have forgot which tune it was, probably TRACK7. It was WIP tune, but no other mixes were done due to work commitments for both of us.

BONUS - Dr who - I can't take credit for this one, but I did tweak it a little ;)

Female vocals by a friend of mine in Ohio, who appears in a few tunes. If I find anymore tunes worthy of uploading I will add them here another time :)

While I have not done any new tunes for some years. I have re-mastered some protracker mod's. IT is hard to resample low quality sampling rates into higher quality ones, but I had a go anyway. I also part converted to mono as tracker tuns mostly had 4 channels and 2 channels for each speaker made hard listening when all the bass was in one speaker for example. Some tunes will cut off unexpectedly as they are mostly designed to be looped.

So here are a few ones which made it into my list. Mostly techno type stuff, or basically anything which is loud and heavy.

These are all done with the FLAC codec. Any half decent player should support it.
