Re: Future H5 buyers & assembly
UK is my biggest market. But I'm in the UK so... Next largest is USA. Germany and France are half and half again. I guess if I count all EU sales they would be comparable to the USA sales..which seems odd in some ways.. Interesting, I would have thought Germany and France to be quite big in terms o...

Re: LC III - Will it ever run?
Yes, nothing on A1 is suspicious, but I see also that you’re sampling at 50 MHz which might be close to the limit for a 25Mhz signal. You might want to sample at 100Mhz to make sure you don’t miss quick transitions.

Re: ST536 in a Mega ST4
As it happens on two different STs (the 1040 and the Mega 4), I would suspect an issue with the ST536. I have two ST536 and they both had a similar issue at first. I reflowed some suspicious joints on one of the ST536 and the issue disappeared on this card. So I would recommend double checking all s...

Re: Revisions of the STE motherboard ?
Yes, they actually didn’t have a machine for the review, it’s mentioned they got all information by phone. From what I understand they were supposed to get a machine but a fire at Atari’s French headquarters made it difficult to get production machines on time, which is why they finally did the revi...

Re: Revisions of the STE motherboard ?
Just read the full article and it seems they are complaining about a production machine, not a review board. They mention that their initial review (2 month before) was done on a « review machine » which had proper SIMM slots while the new one only has SIP. So I guess it’s a very early production ru...

Re: 2 bombs at boot
As it’s a 1040 STF, unless you have a special add-on, the TOS version is < 2, so you can safely boot without floppy. What happens if you boot with the keyboard but without the floppy ?

Re: Newly acquired 520 STe questions
Yes clearly, I need to find a better way, even though I’m not sure the fan is necessary with a Meanwell. Maybe simply reverse it to extract air from inside the Atari case.

Re: Newly acquired 520 STe questions
I recently installed a Meanwell (RD-65A) in a MegaST and this time I used a zip tie to hold it in place. By using one screw from the original PSU and the zip tie around PSU+Metal plate, it sits firmly in place and no need to modify the original plate. IMG_0886.jpeg No metal plate or original Atari p...

Re: The resurrection of atari-wiki.com
Seems there is a problem with gmail accounts. I tried confirming my address a few times but never received the email. I switched from my gmail address to my iCloud address and received the email within a few seconds. So if you try to register and have multiple emails, do not use the gmail one for th...
