I have read and understand the terrible fire 12xx have issues with long ide cables. This may be a daft question but what is the issues and is there anyway to get around these issues. I know the retor accelerator cards didn't have any issues with the ide as I first had a power computing 1208 8mb card...

Are any of these for sale or is there a site with all the files and information to get a board made

I have tried with the 30cm 44 pin cable no go at all
I tried with cd only on a short cable worked.
I tried the dual 2.6 and 3.5 with sd card no go
I've now tried with a 2 buffered 4 way ide and I can get some joy but have to reboot 3 times before it becomes stable enough

no not really, been trying to get a cd rom to work on the internal ide port and the system locks up a lot but if i remove the tf1230 and just have my 8mb ram not a single lockup

is the firmware still being updated?

i have managed to make the roms with the ehide.device in but unable to make the 1mb roms with the other extras i was attempting.

i have got my 1230 now and i have got the floppy with it and i have to apologies the i said eide which is incorrect its ehide.device. my question now is am i able to get an adf of the floppy as my 1200 doesn't have a floppy drive only a gotek.
