Re: 32.084988MHz oscillator

So for the initial build and testing, I could get away with a 32.0MHZ one and it would show slower performance like the Alpha. Thanks for confirming. Will get the 32.084988MHz oscillator later once I have a working board or two. :D

32.084988MHz oscillator

On the Alpha we used a 32MHZ oscillator and though not ideal, it worked but ran a bit slower. Just wondering if this will be the same on the H4 board? Could we use a 32MHZ OSC or does it have to be the Atari specific one? I have some 32.0MHZ OSC and need to know if I can use these or need to purchas...

Re: Almost dead STE

Have put the CPU chip back and tested with the GST Shifter chip removed and the CPU does not HALT. Does this then mean that the GST Shifter is causing the CPU HALT or do I still need to look at the GST MCU chip? I have previously replaced the GST shifter chip with a known working chip so I know it i...

Re: Almost dead STE

Thanks PhilC I have removed the CPU and reset circuit is working fine with 5v on 7406N pin 4 so as you say, something else is pulling it low to cause HALT. My STE board has a separate glitter chip and socketed GST shifter with soldered GST MCU chip (model CA4003290). Will keep looking now that the r...

Almost dead STE

I have an STE board which I purchased as dead and I am using this to learn how to fix things. It is showing a white screen only when powered on. I have identified that the CPU is in HALT state (pin 19 is showing 0v) and chased this back to the reset circuit. The P100 1.2k pull up SIL resistor is not...

Re: H4 schematic

With regards to the BOM V1

Should the 10k SIL resistors RP9, RP10 and RP900 Mouser code be 652-4609X-AP1-103LF? It currently has a Mouser code for a normal 10k resistor.

Will run the auto router later today to see how the board looks.
I know you are very busy. Just wondering how the auto routing went?? Is it still running? :D

Re: True 16MHz Mode

I have the purple PCBs but life got in the way and so have only just ordered the 2 major components. It may be a few weeks before I get to assembling and attempting to fit to one of my boards.
