Do you know by chance whether a 32 MHz operation (for ED floppies) is planned? That’d be my usage scenario.

Re: Boosting STFM: 16MHz bus, 64MHz Shifter

I've understood that there's been some real progress on the FPGA Shifter reset issues lately, while I've been much too occupied with my day job to spend time on this. I don't really have more time, but I'm really really eager to get back on track with this so I'll try to make some :) My test machin...

Re: New Falcon a lemon?

TOS 4.01 alone doesn’t qualify for "pre-production". My regular bought Falcon (admittedly an early one), from a local office supply dealer in a 300k city in the southwest of Germany … had TOS 4.01.

TF for the Atari ST?

Hi, I’m trying to get my head around the different options and status of the development, but weren’t terribly (pun! pun!) successful. I’m looking for an accelerator that should work in an Atari 1040STF (DIL/CPU is socketed already), that gives a decent speed increase, some ALT-RAM and IDE. Which on...

Re: Second CPU for audio processing?

How much would a low-end ARM SoC package cost? Would it be easy to integrate? Use a Raspberry Pi Zero as the ZX Spectrum Next does? Vocore2 : complete MIPS computer, 128 MB RAM, 580 MHz, USB, Ethernet, GPIO, under 10$: c. 2x2cm It could be used for much more than just audio processing: (un)packing,...

Re: 4mb STFM with accelerator - was there an equivalent way back when?

I don't remember seeing a lot of accelerator cards for the ST in magazines or anywhere else.[…] I think the professional market was just lost out on. For the MegaST there were plenty of accelerators advertised in ST magazines in Germany. The AdSpeed, the Hypercache, the GE, ... most of ’em 68000/16...

Re: 4mb STFM with accelerator - was there an equivalent way back when?

Having the different case meant a lot. Remember, this was in times of SM124 monitor, that has no stand. That and an STFM together on a desk isn't easy to deal with, I mean, even if you have books to rise the monitor up you still have to give space for the cables hanging out the back of your extra d...
