Ok its been on for a good hour and a half to two hours running Dyter and no glitches or issues. Put the old chip in and the problem returned. Although it was a different part number it seems to be the same chip, both boards had a wire on the underside joining the same pin to a network array so I tho...

I will pop the case back together and continue testing :) I guess it would be interesting if you put the old chip back in to see if the fault returns..It could be a bad connection, but I have noticed a different part number on the chip as well.. Yes it was a little bit of let's see what happens goi...

OK a quick update, I did the reset switch fix and no change I pulled the chip from under the PSU out, luckily I have a donor chip so replaced it and it has seemed to be working... The old chip IMG_6412.JPG C300588-001 Atari 1988 New chip from the donor board - C301712 Atari 1990 IMG_6416.JPG Running...

I'll try the chip under the PSU first and see where that gets me after work, I'll report back and see where we are then.

I half recall someone else having this issue recently but can't remember the outcome :( have you taken the large chip out from under the PSU and cleaned it, maybe resolder the socket.. I will give that a try :) BTW, have you pulled the mainboard and checked the solder under the video out connector ...

It’s an RGB to scart cable from cool novelties, found them to be the best tbh. Are you thinking to try another cable?
