The problems I had yesterday with the STE cartridge port (and previous problems on the TT) I was wondering if a solution to this would be a unit which sit in the cartridge port and did the following: Only switched on the +5V only when the voltage was stable (zenner diode?) Implemented buffering of a...

Re: STE: After installing Exxos PSU NetUSBee no-longer works.

Would this also explain why the NetUSBee itself is non-functional? (One in about 20 power-ups it will reset its ethernet chip to the point where it gets a link light on the switch, but even then it doesn't respond programatically.) Could your power supply be took good and not provide enough over-vol...

STE: After installing Exxos PSU NetUSBee no-longer works.

OK, here's a strange one. Before I swapped the power supply on my STE my NetUSBee (Lite) worked perfectly on the machine, unlike on my TT. Now that the STE has the Exxos PSU the NetUSBee is not working at all. In fact it's showing similar symptoms to when it's attached to the TT with unreliable read...

Re: Atari to release throwback console with classic games, joystick

The RGB version has a three-colour logo in the top right, e.g.

At the back, near the bottom you'll see two DIN sockets, a 5 PIN (composite video+sound) and 8 pin (TTL RGB+sound).

Yeah. I can't remember how many companies have bought the Atari mark over the years.

Re: exxos blog - random goings on

I’m thinking out loud here, but could you use the MMU clock on power up to trigger the clock on your board in some way so that it’s deterministically in phase with the MMU? Maybe using it to trigger the power to the crystal or crystal signal to the CPU clock generator?

Re: STFM case remake

How about Blackbird?

Or, if you want a raptor to continue the Falcon, Kestrel and Sparrowhawk line, Kite or Harrier.
