Re: Controlling the TT sound system.

Audio DMA system is same in STE, Mega STE and TT - except internal speaker in TT . So, you can use docs about Microwire for STE . It should be in Atari Compendium what port , which bit controls internal speaker on/off . It may be same as in case of Falcon - PSG port A, bit 6. I'm not sure, you shoul...

Re: MMU address line resistors changed to 68ohms. Why?

I'm not sure that reason is some mistake or lack of 33 Ohm resistors. Little larger values causing better noise suppression. Not to mention that people who doesn't know what doing normally changes not resistors just like that. Even less likely is that resistors were ever removed - with plan to put s...

Re: RSC to assembler source capable SW ?

Thanx. But it is demo v. with disabled all saves. I found English , full v. - and there output file settings section is just empty. And I'm even not sure that it generates complete S file of resource, or only S file with object names and numbers (equ to H file in C) . Anyway, I made it with S file g...

Re: I digged little in TOS, AES, and seen not good thing

Mission accomplished. Static parts - bitmaps, icons and text what changes not (and what changes is not editable only, there are many others like those in disk info dialog - which display used, free sizes, and like) are now only in ROM, other is in RAM. Used packing for parts, what go in RAM - no nee...

RSC to assembler source capable SW ?

I know 2 SW what can generate assembler S file from RSC : RSCTOASM and ORCS resource editor. Unfortunately none of 2 is flawless. Need lot of additional corrections to make S files proper, and some RSC files are too hard for them. So, question is: is there some other SW for this purpose available ? ...

Re: Are Bypass Capacitors REALLY needed?

It's just that you need to watch half hour long video, or rather talk with little video, often some commercials, to maybe learn something what can learn after 2 minutes of googling and read some article - max in 5 minutes.

Re: Are Bypass Capacitors REALLY needed?

I really don't see what was the point. Are such videos REALLY needed ? Some people benefits from them, for sure. I did not hear everything new. Both things are important - layout and capacitors. But it's much better to have them as much possible close to chip pins. I often solder them there directly...

Re: I digged little in TOS, AES, and seen not good thing

I disassembled AES part of TOS 1.04 - what was something what I did not plan earlier. Partially because changing here mentioned RSC handling, partially for making it shorter by optimizations, and partially to change not really good section layout in TOS ROM. Start of it was troublesome - it appeared...
