Re: Atari ST Power Pack - a request

I converted STX of Overlander + Starglider + Super Huey to ST, because it seems not copy protected. atari.8bitchip.info/TestMe/PowerPackStargliderOverlanderSuperHuey.zip Will look others for protection ... Btw. Overlander STX image at Atarimania (separated game release) is buggy version - it crashes...

Re: Atari ST Power Pack - a request

... Does anyone have .st format copies of the original disks? I played these games for months before getting any others and even though some of them aren't great, I'd still like to play them again for old times sake :) You can not make ST format copies of original copy protected disks. What you nee...

Re: Seen on eBay: UK TT Keyboard: Offers.

TT keyboard = Mega STE keyboard. Silly prices are what we will see more and more.
There is way to use ST, STE keyboard on TT, Mega STE - just need proper cable, conn. and add couple cheap components (for auto reset) .

Making Atari ST SW around 1987

This is intended as some kind of reminder for those which were active in those years, and probably as something new for those who like to talk about not clean coded, so not good SW, who now talk about making it platform independent ... So, what someone, some firm, crew who decided to make some Atari...

Re: A worrying trend?

I don't think that this will be some trend. And consoles are different from home, personal computers. Some 10 years ago sites with old games for DL were shut down more-less regularly , and then it stopped, and that got called abandonware. + many of copyright owners made it PD legally . And Atari peo...

Re: Anyone had luck with Secret of the Monkey I. on TT, Falcon ?

I digged little in code, and saw some bad things in Timer-A part. Corrected version is here. Works fine on Falcon. Should on TT too, I guess.

Re: GEM in 2018 ?

@petari: let's just agree to disagree on this and move on. Neither will convince the other he's right. We have different goals with what we're doing. Yes, that's what some call nice solution. But I would rather to hear some arguments - for instance why you think that SW accessing HW is bad, and why...

Re: GEM in 2018 ?

... I think there is room for hardware like ST's running GEM. Its more advanced than some are using today. PI is good for getting stuff done easily, and gets people into hardware and software, but thats all cheating and lazy IMHO. Next step real computer system , maybe even Z80 based as proper star...

Re: GEM in 2018 ?

... I think the EmuTOS team has done an excellent job of creating a legal open source clone of TOS. That's the only choice for me if I want something I can legally build on top of. Besides ARM is not exactly compatible with the 68k, so I don't have to worry too much about badly written software tha...
