Re: Project: HDMI/DVI out for STFM

You’ve got another beta tester here Smonson, if you need one (I’m in Oz as well if that helps and have a large collection I can test this with).

Re: My new 130XE

A few months on, how are you finding the Sophia DVI, Ingo? I've used mine for a time, and while it's super sharp image can't be denied, I'm finding I like to switch back to the RGB solution for all its minor fuzziness (it's as if the digital display has far exceeded what the 8-bit should look like. ...

Re: Spectre GCR "fun"

Hi Stephen, I have a Magic Sac Plus at home but it is difficult to get the Mac system disks in the format I require. I'm not sure if the custom formatted disks for the Spectre GCR will work with mine, but would it be possible to get a copy of those from you? Hopefully once I have a Mac 128 up and ru...

Re: S-Video/composite board for Atari STs -- great for STFs

This adapter is not good for LCD monitors, only for older analog TVs and non-VGA monitors without RGB input. So, I guess that it is little too late for most of people to get it. Actually, we need to add here something what may be good solution too: capture card for PC - they have usually (at least ...

Re: S-Video/composite board for Atari STs -- great for STFs

Stupid question, but what kind of cable to you use from the converter to your LCD. My LCD only has VGA, hdmi, and dvi. Also, is the cable from the atari to the converter custom. It’s just a standard 4 pin S-Video cable. I can’t speak for other regions but in Australia they have been included on TVs...

Re: Ordering the Alpha board

I like a challenge...

Put me down for one as well Chris.

I’m contemplating looking at ways to create a desktop case with external keyboard for the ST (as you may recall I have a case on it’s way to me ;) ...plus I have one of the lighthouse keyboards at home already).

Re: Another registration, another Aussie

I have a feeling complete Atari collection: Mega ST’s, STE, Mega STE’s, TT’s and Falcons but while I’ve had a few STf and STFMs (which I originally owned), I haven’t kept one in my collection. Depends how you look at it, Mega ST 1 is entry level for me now! I did dig out a non working 800XL from my ...

Re: S-Video/composite board for Atari STs -- great for STFs

I did purchase a GBS8200 around the same time and noticed the mouse pointer “anomaly”.
I have to admit, I don’t have this anymore but I do recall that that wasn’t present.
