Re: Icky - Progress

By the looks of things ram and ROM are working fine then. I guess the thing next is to try the floppy drive and see if you can see a demo booting or not. Then we know the DMA circuit is working correctly then. Also needed to check audio ;)

Re: Icky - Progress

:bravo: I will check the pull ups tomorrow again. I didn't see I missed any but obviously you are on the right track there! I don't get the odd graphics problems though. Its like the shifter is getting bad data for some reason. It must be pretty good on ram access to even get to the desktop though.....

Re: Icky - Progress

Spurious Interrupt either means something on the bus is corrupting the data on the bus and running the wrong interrupt (my thoughts for the ACIA as I have had that issue with my boosters), or the interrupt vector hasn't been set in RAM. I don't know much about how all that stuff works though. I thin...

Re: Thoughts

I did manually route the first board, its posted up on here somewhere. Took many hours.. then sadly ended up larger than the original board :( Even so I didn't like how everything was being laid out, so I redesigned the whole thing, and auto routed it the second time.. I want to check the resistance on the pullups prior to starting full build up.
Were using 4.7K (parts list says 2.2K but I changed my mind after and went with 4.7K)

Re: Thoughts

This is my first post here. :welcomewave: I wondered if I could help at all with the diag / PCB stuff? TerribleFire has offered to route the next board and debug, but hes running behind with things lately, life gets in the way. I suspect we will have this board running by the time he catches up. A ...

Wouldnt it be possible to re route with Male-female connectors
You can do whichever is best for you.
