have you measured the power rails on each chip to see if anything spiky there ?

Also, hold down the reset button (it will stop the machine from running) so that would be interesting to test...

wow, the crappy electrolytics seems to be actually filtering out some of the noise...

What do you actually get on the DAC output ( pin 2 & 4 ) ?

368 mins, 112 loops - about 6.12 hours... Would have actually thought since it had warmed up for 6 hours already that it would have crashed after a hour or so.. so its hard to say if 5.2V has helped or not..overall, its still crashes after 6-7 hours. bizzare.. Anyway, will try and start getting some...

You mean the current SEC booster ? There is no ROM yet.. that comes next...

No updates to report yet :( But now I have had but experiences with the level translators, and is going to continue this design with 5V stuff. You will take a fair while just to get the regular ROM connected up and working. But if doing the new board, I would want to put fast ram on there as well.. ...

No real change then :( If anything looks worse ? Though that could be as the caps are "high up" on the board... I think it would be interesting to cover the channel with foil ( insulated with paper first of course ;) ) connected to gnd to screen the audio and see if its picking up interference via R...

Pretty much follow this plan thesedays. Big 1206 under the chip, flooded ground and power under the chip and a 4 layer board. I most definitely go with the multilayer route. its effectively the same as putting 4-5 smaller caps in the same space. :thumbup: Yes , Not many people give much considerati...
