Re: SUGGESTIONS

I must admit that I don't know anything about the interfacability other than people on other projects mentioning it. If it's not possible then it's not possible. It was merely a thought as this is a suggestions thread. Its a good thought, but I dont think its really possible. SRAM only has 1 IO cha...

But surely that different to having dual ported main memory?
What options are there for dual port 16MB SRAM controlled by a PLD ?

I was just wondering, given a lot of the slow-down for the ST is due to sharing the memory between the CPU and video sub-system, would a redesign using dual ported RAM for the screen memory be a good idea?
I already talked about adding ram to shifter a few posts up..

Re: Are business cards dead?

I guess it depends on the job/trade then, it seems more traditional tradesmen/service like jobs still use them alot. I tend to just Google everything and everyone and get there details like that because I always would lose cards anyhow same for leaflets unless it had a voucher on I never keep them....

Re: SUGGESTIONS

As another thought.. the MMU itself could have some new functions built in.. for example a new register to quickly clear a block of ram... Once the CPU loaded start and end address, internal counters can clear the RAM contents very quickly internally. Had the thought while talks in other threads tal...

Re: Scrolling tricks

No idea what bobs, joeys or world blocks are, so am interested to find out :) bobs replace sprites... sprites take up a lot of CPU power and limited to 15 on screen. Bobs use pre-shifting to reduce CPU workload, and are a lot faster. Its almost just like a image copy from bank to screen, so no limi...
