Re: JezC - the second (and laST) H5C1 build

Steve I think your board had the reset troubles before the OSC fault was discovered though ? https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=89&t=5600 If it was that board you sent me ages ago, it booted up fine for me, but then again I was using a different power supply.. But I suspect it w...

Re: New DIY PSU PCB beta now in stock

That looks really good - where did you get your supplies from? Hoping to avoid any dodgy ones if possible... I got mine from RS. I did not really spend any time looking for the cheapest prices on them though. https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/switching-power-supplies/1748064 https://uk.rs-online.com/w...

Re: Exxos's PiStorm blog

Extremely tiny text on my TV. The last line looks like it says kernel panic. So I guess it did not work. IMG_2192.JPG Will try and find a few minutes tomorrow to pop down to Argos and get a SanDisk card... Though in terms of the setup of the whole thing from scratch, couldn't a bash script just do a...

Re: Exxos's PiStorm blog

@Steve might it be an idea to update a backup of your card to all the latest stuff still works as good as the one you have currently?

While I can test the current one, I'll probably need to try later versions as well?

Re: Exxos's PiStorm blog

Ah, yeah. Getting a PiStorm going will involve a lot of typing, I'm afraid. :( If I can't get Steve SD card to work, I'll have to ask someone else set it up for me. I'm only managing the forum due to voice recognition. Aside from the odd few posts like this where I can use my tablet. Me being able ...

Re: Exxos's PiStorm blog

I meant the normal install. I didn't understand why you abandoned that approach. Does that let you preconfigure all of this then you just log in and copy what you want from Steve's image? Because Steve said there was loads to configure and he hasn't tried the latest firmware yet. His setup works on...

Re: Issues getting diag cart to run

You might have blown the motherboard fuse as well.. But 99% of the time it's bad contacts on the cartridge port. You need to wipe IPA on the cartridge connector, insert it several times, wipe with IPA again and repeat until it works. Those cartridge connectors are 40 years old now..

Re: STFM case remake

Wow impressive advancement with case remakes. Will there be anyone making them commercially or built to order? If not I take it I will need to learn 3d printing and buy some serious printer. I kind of like that one someone has built with embedded floppy and gotek the translucent one looks great too...

The case already has those features.
