Re: Dead Exxos PSU out of the blue

:bravo:

Yeah the metal bracket hole locations vary from ST to Falcon or even brands , so it's pretty much impossible to do a "one size fits all" layout. Though I have made the holes in the red boards a fraction larger to try and help with it.

Re: Y'all witnesses!

Another shelf added.. stack more motherboards up and stack up on larger stuff like all this crap people keep sending me to repair!

Hopefully can start to get tidy on the floor now as well!

Re: A worrying trend?

Couldn't they just asked what the offending titles were and removed those rather than taking the whole site down

Seems like a history repeat somehow.. how corporations get involved with a community to milk it for all its worth destroying it as they go along.

did you take a part in this "group buy" and making of DB19 ? :)
Nope, didn't know anything of it until it was to late. Plus connectors hardly ever sell, so would be a bad investment.

:bravo:

Pretty much same as results as the PSU I tested. The DVE/ASP ones seem to stand the tests of time better than the SR98s. Though I haven't seen many past the SR98s to test out much.

Thanks for posting it! I'm sure will be interest to others!

Re: Boosting STFM: 16MHz bus, 64MHz Shifter

Well if we're not redoing GLUE then we're limited by doubling horizontal resolution (like the original doubleST modes did before Czietz found a way to trade horizontal for vertical resolution - but that's a one shot trick). So, 1280x400x4. That requires a replacement Shifter (the original won't do ...

Re: Boosting STFM: 16MHz bus, 64MHz Shifter

Yeah I think a nice upgrade would be to have the following new low/medium/high resolutions: 320x200x256 (15kHz, 50/60Hz) 640x200x16 (15KHz, 50/60Hz) 640x400x4 (35.5KHz, 71Hz) The last two are now done. Let's see if we can get some aid in solving the first ;) If you can get 640x400x4 with 16MHz, the...

Re: A worrying trend?

Nintendo is launching a subscription service for its latest Switch console in September, which will include access to some of its retro titles. Could be the same with 2600 titles.. if Atari are pushing them in the flashback console they they wouldn't be happy if ROMs could be downloaded.. but again...
