Re: Dead Exxos PSU out of the blue

That does sound like a run of bad luck :( I don't know if you have one already.. but I run all my stuff though a battery backed UPSU these days. The mains voltage here is terrible, constant drop outs, over voltages. I think it was the reason my PC PSU kept on failing.. Though I invested in a UPSU (a...

Re: Dead Exxos PSU out of the blue

PSU arrived today. I first put it on my bench power supply and powered it up, there seem to be something shorting out the power supply so I just kept turning up the amps until something blew  I saw a flash where those capacitors are, then the current drop down to virtually nothing. It seems...

Re: TOS max 14 partitions (logical drives) limit

I think problem with low TOS versions is limited to small partition sizes, so people go for more drives.. but with your patches, users can use larger partitions, so do people really need more drive letters in that case ?

Re: BLITTER RE-CREATION THOUGHTS

I was looking towards not using bus transceivers for level translation as it takes up a lot of space on the board.. If I were to do that these blitters could not be used in other machines.. The PCB would probably be too large. As xilinix has 5 V tolerant I/O I would not need transceivers. I did not ...

Re: Retrobright ozone method

I took the parts out of the cleaner just and took a image.... It seems the plastic has lightened up a lot more than I had originally anticipated.. The mouse button seems to have some blooming, but I think the problem was it had flipped upside down and likely ended up with some hot spots from the hea...

Re: Ideas to create other languages versions of updated TOS

So by the sounds of it there are other changes other than just the RSC files :(

I don't know if you will be better looking at this from a patching point of view.. Could the changes you make be done automatically in a special patcher program to other TOS104 language versions ?

There it is, the voice of reason that no one wanted to hear ;) But yeah, you are right, this really is not important, and I'll STFU now :-P
 group *hugs* :)

But yeah, its topic drifted a bit as thread as well, was mainly about languages.

Re: Ideas to create other languages versions of updated TOS

I'm not a fan of inverted colours  Thats leaving the classic look behind :P Could always just forget the logo, thats a TOS206 thing anyway. Could just have TOS105 in big letters at the top, then normal text under it. I guess this really is trying to do final polishing before main work is comple...

STFM FAST TECHNOLOGIES - UNKNOWN BOOSTER 16MHz

FT161.jpg FT162.jpg I managed to obtain this is somewhat broken state but managed to fix it :) I connected it to the 16MHz line using the free wire on the board, and this seemed to work fine. Going by the chips would seem it has a cache on board. Some assuming this is a early design, or even a prot...
