I know you don't have time but I used to like reading your blog frequently and wondered if others did the same. Has that had an effect on sales?
I don't think my blog had huge visitors either. Think there was like 4 subscribers. Though my blog "expanded" over to this forum.

Re: How to recognise/transform a 110V Falcon PSU?

Correct me if i'm wrong but wouldn't the number of coils in the transformer be different? Yes and no. They could be different, but such switchmodes are more dependent on "pulse power" on the core. If there was different turns ratio, the pulse would be double or half width to maintain the "power" in...

Re: How to recognise/transform a 110V Falcon PSU?

It would make sense 400V > 230VAV, 200V > 120VAC..

There are resistors swapped about or missing between the 2.. I never had a 120V one to image. So when I get home I will take a image of my 230V one..

Re: Dropping sales concerns

In my line of work, out sight is out of mind. I wonder if your helpful posts and frequent presence on Atari Age and and Atari Forum were driving some of your sales? That is where I learned that you are a trusted vendor and how to find your web store. It could be a factor yes. Though most seem to ha...

Re: Project: HDMI/DVI out for STFM

Great stuff!

If the pixel shift only happens between power ups, does it matter really ? I think most would opt to put up with it rather than lose the left border totally.

There is still the option to tap into Vsync and Hsync on the system, if that would help ?

Re: Dropping sales concerns

I think you'd be doing well with a few more 'special' projects in store. Like you said you mostly focus on maintenance hardware, which is good to produce a steady baseline sales. For instance a lot of people want bus speeders for their Falcons. You could recreate the Phantom and the special Phantom...

Re: Future PSU designs

The UPSs at work (Oxford, UK) have seen over-voltages up in the 290v range and brown-outs of about 170v. Oh, and then there are those sub-second almost zero volt to over-volt transients. I'm sure the latter are the killers (especially for UPSs!). The voltage here seems to be more like 250V and can ...

Re: V2.5 BOOSTER CURRENT PROTOTYPE STATUS

I have been looking at options for flash and ROM... Basically 55ns 8Mb 3.3V is the only real option for the "fast ram" bank. 3.3V flash 8Mb 55ns. 2Mb 3.3V 10ns for the ROM shadow. It's the smallest and cheapest set of SRAM options. Problem is a huge bank of IO converters.. plus I have space limitati...

Re: Future PSU designs

I have been wondering about the possibility of main spikes damaging power supply circuits.. So I attempted to do some simulations.. The crappy simulation model has V1 as a simple 15VAC since wave gen (simulate transformer secondary). The actual resistance measured and the transformer is 1 ohms, so a...
