Re: ST536 STE EDITION
Finally got the new BOM done. Several parts are out of stock on JLC. I've got them on order but be a couple weeks to get parts. No idea how much the PLDs will end up. It's a case of paying for stuff and JLC will figure it all out later kinda thing  So I hope the PLD price will be cheaper. I've...

Re: ST536 STE EDITION
Different speeds, different mounting and pin options different voltage combinations? God knows, I just went to Mouser and used a better parametric search. Found myself a nice OSC, better than the ones I used before. Just they are 6pin not 4 pin  so I will have to edit the PCB and hope there i...

I will have a look at the install again and go back to "page 1" when I can. But hands hurting bad again, so might not be able to do much.

Re: ST536 STE EDITION
So nothing can ever be simple can it.. My current PCB company who I actually like, my project manager informed me she has left the company  I think she was one of the few Chinese people who actually understood what I was talking about. I really don't want to start messing about with someone ne...

Re: JezC - the second (and laST) H5C1 build
Difficult to say without looking at TOS sources. But I'd assume TOS "pings" the floppy drives and if it gets a reply then the drive is there. Then it must access more info like getting FAT and then fails. So sounds like corruption somewhere between the 1772 to DMA or DMA to the main databu...

Re: XC95144XL & XC95288XL obsolete
The Chinese will be producing or selling them recycled for a long time to come :) That's likely true yes, but I'm sure a lot of people here will tell horror stories of using such chips from China already. Buying used through-hole parts is difficult and time consuming enough to test. Not so simple w...

Re: ST536 STE EDITION
It would add unnecessarily something like £25-£50 more onto the price. To much just for some pins and block of plastic IMO when they only cost pennies to make. Exactly the reason why I came with my own solution instead to keep costs down for everyone. In terms of the STE boosters where I got 100 mad...
