Re: Anyone have it? know it?

In your picture 232209 it's hard to tell but one of the pins on the left hand side is dark. This could be a corroded pin or track. I'd remove all of the solder on that pad, clean the pin and solder pad / track up and then resolder it. The 244 and 373 can be tested in situ but this would involve need...

Re: Anyone have it? know it?

So there ya go @Bikerbob , grab your multimeter and a copy of the schematics for your mega :D

@exxos out of all of my classic computers, the Megas have been the worst for corroding underneath the lacquer on the pcb.

Re: Anyone have it? know it?

That's what I was thinking too exxos, or the glue but he has swapped out those chips. Hence thinking corrosion or dry joints.

I'm presuming the diag cart starts and the screen turns red with the T4 error shown.

Re: Anyone have it? know it?

Diagrom is different to a diag cart. Its included on exxos's diag cart if I remember correctly but please check. Diagrom works in a different way to the atari diag cart. When you boot into the Diagrom it will tell you how much ram is present and allows you to test it, without having to boot to Tos e...

Re: Tim's Blog of Upgrades

I suspect all of them should be possible as the mega bus has almost all of the cpu pins.

If I remember correctly its missing the 5v and gnd and some of the fio lines.

I was working on a pcb to adapt this but have no time at the mo.

Re: Anyone have it? know it?

Hi James, Just had a look at the brief explanation of T4 in the service manual and it says that the MMU is not generating the correct address for the display. Never had this one before but for starters I think I would try testing the address and mad lines for continuity between the cpu and the ram. ...

Re: An Atari ST HDMI All Resolution Solution - Part 2 - Closure

Thank you for the honest review. It will help many others make an informed decision.

If your TVs have a vga input then its worth checking out the GBS8200 or 8220, which works with monitors other than 15khz. So then a vga to hdmi may be worth trying?
