Re: Project : Using a Touch Key Self-locking Switch Module with Exxos RAM Kit

It looks like its switching voltages ? If so it won't work, you will kill the MMU at least. The 3 pads on the MMU board use a spdt switch which switches mad9 in and out of circuit. Hum ok, but look at the 3 green cells. it seems it just add continuity and no voltage. So maybe it could get 5V somewh...

Project : Using a Touch Key Self-locking Switch Module with Exxos RAM Kit

Hello, I bought this little module in China at sunsky-online.com : A007 Touch Key Key Self-locking Switch Module (~3$ each) . https://img.sunsky-online.com/upload/store/product_l/DIY3253.jpg As I don't like to drill holes in my Atari cases, I would like to use this module as a switch to switch from ...

Re: 1040 STF...Unlucky :)

Ok, thanks a lot Exxos for your help

Next step will be to add a touch key self-locking switch under the keyboard like this to select between 1M or 4M.

What do I do with R59,R60,R61, R71,R72,R73 resistors, do I leave it like this or should i remove them ? I also figured out that C49, the big blue capacitor 1...

Your next step choices are to remove the old RAM, and/or change the bus resistors to 2.2K and see if that fixes the problem.
Ok thanks hum...Where are the bus resistors ?

Re: 1040 STF...Unlucky :)

If you have a SR98 PSU, they have a 5V adjust. Try making sure its at 5V. You can try between 4.8V and 5.2V. You may need to change the address & databus resistors to 2.2K. I tried with a Mitsumi SR98 PSU : 4.86 (the lowest it can do), 5.0 and up to 5.2v too : Same thing. Also can you please edit y...

Re: 1040 STF...Unlucky :)

Ok. So I tried to swap : - the shifter adapter and the RAM "MMu adapter" board from a previously upgraded STF : Same problem on the same STF board. At least it's not a problem with exxos kit. - the PSU : Same problem. I also tried (for the 4th time) to clean with IPA and a needle the MMU pins : Same...

Re: 1040 STF...Unlucky :)

Thank you rubber_jonnie & PhilC. I followed exactly what you said.
Then I put all the things back where they belong...
Same result: Black screen, white border.
It's killing me
