Strange burning hole on my STF...
Hello Yoda masters, On this motherboard I have a problem with the floppy connector. As soon as I power it up, the pad circled in yellow makes flames (and you can imagine the smell...). I don't understand how this is possible because it's empty, it doesn't seem to be shorted on the other side either....

Thanks you all for your answers 8-) I know no one likes dealing with Best Electronics, Ordering from Brad is not the easiest thing in the world indeed. BTW, where was that STacy stored to get that much corrosion? Ugh. :) I don't know. I got it like that. I guess it was laying on the floor in a garag...

Hi, i have a working Stacy1 which needs some care : - led screen sheet replacement - Rear ASCI, floppy, screen (...) connectors replacement - 4M RAM upgrade I think i will also add an SCSI2SD to replace the existing drive and maybe a Goex drive too. The next thing I need to do is make a working MT32-pi to get that sweet midi output. And THEN I want to figure out how to pipe MT32-pi audio AND the speech from the ST out through the same channels. In fact i can't hear it.
But my phone seems to raise (normalize?) all the sounds when there is...none And the triPod was on the MSTE case so i think the vibrations were transmitted to the phone too.

Hi, I tried DOT on my MegaSTE running @16Mhz with cache on, TOS206fr, 4Mb RAM, a MT-32 and a CosmosEx 3.0. Honestly, PLA is sufficient : if your bed levelling is good,it slips well.
I noticed that printing it on a glass bed is better (the surface is smoother).
You also can add a little acetone with a brush to smooth it out.
