Re: The puzzle why the booster stopped working for no reason

Maybe it increases current capacity, or helps it run cooler..??

You never know @PaulJ , I might get my third one completed before @rubber_jonnie as well?
Hmm, I'm betting @rubber_jonnie will finish the H4 up. I wonder if @exxos is going to spin a H4.1 will all fixes incorporated.?

Re: NetUSBee Build

So, a while back, I got some boards from Sety as mentioned here: https://www.exxoshost.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1588&hilit=pcb+set Since the NetUSBee is the smallest board with the least parts (Compared to the TF520 and TF530 I also got), I've decided to have a crack at building it soon. Fi...

Re: PaulJ's H4 Mongrel Build x 2

Ok, just ran into a strange issue with H4#2. The cartridge port works with the dogcart and all tests pass. I put the netusbee in and it hangs on boot with either a checkerboard video display or a white screen. Works fine on H4#1... The only difference is the #2 has the SMT MMU and GLUE but I doubt t...

Re: Desoldering Falcon NVRAM

@PaulJ yeah the gnd pin takes a lot of heat. In some cases it took my gas iron and soldering iron to remove it. Yes, I had to borrow a board heater that sets under the board and brings board temp up close to solder melting and then use wick and an iron on top with more solder and flux. I really bel...

Re: Desoldering Falcon NVRAM

exxos , when I removed mine I believe it was one of the turfiest removals I've done. The ground pin was horrible. The ground plain must not have thermal relief. I'm guessing its just a hole in the huge ground plain that sucks off all the heat. Was a real pain. Great video which gives people a warni...
