Re: To keep or Not to keep?

Im in the long process of having a clearout as you may well know. Getting rid of ~80% of my computer 'stock'. I think the thing that made me decide to clearout was the dilemma of trying to spread myself (very thinly!) over too many projects. Things just get overwhelming and you end up not getting an...

Re: Idea for a "for sale store"

lol. Payphil...This will all end in tears. I imagine Ebay like the evil stepmother in snow white: Ebay: 'Mirror, mirror on the wall, am I still the only viable marketplace available?' Mirror: 'Not any more.Theres a fairer marketplace that doesnt scam the sellers and even has a similar name. Also you...

Re: And you thought Falcon's were expensive

Reminds me of them Ebay auctions for the 'this may be some of Britney Spears hair', or 'this bolt is an exact replica of the one that was on Prince Phillips crashed Range Rover' that were doing the rounds. The only thing is, this guy forgot to write 'may have belonged to John Lennon' or whatever BS ...

Re: Idea for a "for sale store"

First thing Chris, for gods sake change that name before that evil site shuts you down for copyright infringement! ;) Secondly, maybe we could also have a 'swap shop' included too so users can either swap bits with eachother (which kind of removes one part of the process for like minded people wanti...

Re: C64 Multiple SID chips?

Thanks.

Hmm.. Maybe I imagined it, but I was sure there was a cart with several SIDs available. To be honest, if it doesnt exist, Im surprised no such thing has been invented yet. You can get most things for the C64 nowadays!

C64 Multiple SID chips?

Ive been having a look online, but dont seem able to find anything. What I wanted to know, is if there are any C64 cartridges which contain multiple SID chips. I dont mean the stereo SID internal mods/carts (Im not really interested in a stereo SID). Im more looking for 3-8 SIDs on a cart. Is there ...

Re: C-Sync on 520ST C070115 REV.2B

I know its a bit out on a limb, but Ive got an Acorn AK30 monitor (which is basically an Amiga 1084) with CSYNC input. I didnt have the correct lead for it or time to build one, but plugged in an STFM into it. According to the schematics, I had Red connected and one of the syncs (Vertical IIRC). It ...

Re: Atari Prices On Ebay?!

Just for the record, yesterday I just sold 3 working Atari STs (2x STEs one with 4MB in and a 1040 STFM) on Ebay for £22. Thought they would go for more after reading all the above!  I was meant to take some pictures of stuff for some users here this weekend, but what with the bank holida...

Re: 68040 machine

You can choose from a variety of C compilers for Mac OS or UNIX, you don’t have to use Apple’s. And there is no “Apple version of C”, this is plain ANSI C or C++. Dont they mainly use Objective C on Macs? If you target the ROM code with the proper tools (the toolchain built for the Mac), you will s...

Re: 68040 machine

So it seems.

Its a shame really, as the basic Quadra machines seem to be similar to the Atari ST, with the CPU doing all the work and a framebuffer style screen.
