EDIT: Also I wonder if the combination of 68040/68881 is even allowed in Devpac, considering that the 68040 has a builtin FPU.
I've got a feeling that what czietz touched on here may cause some problems due to the 040 having a subset of, or emulating some 68881/2 commands.

Watch out! ;)

Re: BLITTER RE-CREATION THOUGHTS

Well, one thing to bare in mind , is the blitter "isn't" a video generator of any kind.. it doesn't really know anything of resolutions and colours.. its a device to basically shift and edit blocks of data to and from ram quickly... There may not be any other functions which could be added... Yeah,...

Re: BLITTER RE-CREATION THOUGHTS

With such a coded core.. it is of course possible to add functions.. not sure what, that's up to the coders to think up what might be possible/useful.. From a games programming point of view and if it is at all possible perhaps the following... First, the awesome stuff that all great 2D graphics ch...

Also, the Mega ST has *slightly* different clock speed to the other ST's. And by the sound of it, noisier signals (blitter patch) compared to the others.

But, yeah, basically the same.

Re: WANTED - MFM drive for Supra drive

Oh well. Thats about it then. I did have a 5.25" NEC MFM drive, but thats in a Triangle turbo enclosure somewhere (unless I sold it and forgot! ). The rest of my drives are SCSI 2/3 3.5" and IDE. If its a case of not wanting to chuck the controller away, have you thought of perhaps re-housing ...

Re: WANTED - MFM drive for Supra drive

Ok. This is the drive I was looking for (sorry about the photo quality camera, as this camera from work is abysmal!) P1010002.jpg The drive is a 3.5" Lexikon HD352 20MB ST-506/412 HDD. Its about twice the height of a regular 3.5 IDE drive (of the ~250Mb-4TB era). Unfortunately, I cant find much info...
