Re: Cyber Legends 3 Poll ***[PLEASE VOTE ASAP!]****
I know people are uber busy with life it seems everyone has a cold atm (me included!) but any further progress on concrete dates etc. ? I will get on it by the weekend and we should be finalised with a fixed date/time by sometime next week. But first, I have to ask... So, September and an earlier, ...

Re: Mucking around on the Commodore 64 DTV
Am I right in thinking you need the original model 64 DTV to do decent mods? Technically, no. Let me explain. The first DTV was for the NTSC market (v1) and had several more bugs in the HW, low reflash till fail flash chip, 128kb RAM (instead of 2Mb), etc. The v2 was both NTSC and PAL, fixed severa...

Re: Mucking around on the Commodore 64 DTV
Unfortunately, with the DTV HW being buggy, I sometimes slip into the thought process that its the HW at fault and not my code. But I will admit here and now that in this case, it was my blitter register tables, hidden far away from the main loop causing the problem . After more mucking aroun...

Re: Mucking around on the Commodore 64 DTV
@mrbombermillzy I think I've got three 1541s at the MO  Well, if you ever decide you can let one go, let me know. :D Im still gutted that I missed out, a guy (In the US IIRC) was selling 1581 drive 'kits' very cheaply 10 odd years ago. I already missed the boat on that by the time I found out ...

Re: Mucking around on the Commodore 64 DTV
I'd really appreciate that PhilC . :) Thanks. PM me to let me know what I owe you. Also, if you find you have too many 1541 drives and want to leave one on the corner of my table at CL3, and in exchange pick up an envelope with cash... Seriously, coding for the DTV has made me remember how muc...

Re: PiStorm Chat
I didnt realise the later Pis needed at least passive cooling.
Are we starting to enter the era of having to engineer RPi cooling solutions and proper ventilation in our Atari cases to deter heat related issues/lockups?

Re: PiStorm Chat
I thought @dad664npc did a GB6 run with cache off ? Can't find it. I think that's why the ROM speed ends up crazy high as it can't be doing bus accesses to get to like 3000% speeds. All this sort of chat is going on in the AF forums ATM, with Gunnar Von B and the different HW/clones being discussed...

Re: PiStorm Chat
Hang on. Just to clarify, Im sure I asked @Badwolf about using a Pi3B for this (using a riser because of the double stacked USB ports on the 3B) and Im sure I was warned by him not to use a GPIO riser because of signal degradation issues. You want the Pi to PiStorm connector to be as short and robu...
