Re: Cyber Legends 3 Poll ***[PLEASE VOTE ASAP!]****

 yeah, we all need our own dark corner to be quiet in. Well, its basically to avoid any intrusions. Goodness knows what 'scrapbooking' is, or why you need to hire a function room to do it, so I think its best to book both rooms to avoid the whole issue completely and have done with it. Besides...

Re: Cyber Legends 3 Poll ***[PLEASE VOTE ASAP!]****

The only Saturday in September the hall is available is Sat 7th Sept, but there is also a Womens scrapbooking event (?) going on in a small adjacent room off the main hall.  Otherwise, both Sundays are (still) available for 8th and 29th Sept. So what does everyone think? Saturday or Sun...

Does that mean its likely that you will come? (Please see my latest event date post to see the latest proposed dates).

Re: Cyber Legends 3 Poll ***[PLEASE VOTE ASAP!]****

Apologies for the delay, but things never go as smoothly as expected and I have been firing and receiving emails from the lady who looks after the hall hire. So as PhilC is essentially my right hand man, Ive taken his requests into consideration and: The only Saturday in September the hall is availa...

Re: Cyber Legends 3 Poll ***[PLEASE VOTE ASAP!]****

I will get on it by the weekend and we should be finalised with a fixed date/time by sometime next week. But first, I have to ask... So, September and an earlier, ...

Re: Mucking around on the Commodore 64 DTV

Am I right in thinking you need the original model 64 DTV to do decent mods? Technically, no. Let me explain. The first DTV was for the NTSC market (v1) and had several more bugs in the HW, low reflash till fail flash chip, 128kb RAM (instead of 2Mb), etc. The v2 was both NTSC and PAL, fixed severa...

Re: Mucking around on the Commodore 64 DTV

Unfortunately, with the DTV HW being buggy, I sometimes slip into the thought process that its the HW at fault and not my code. But I will admit here and now that in this case, it was my blitter register tables, hidden far away from the main loop causing the problem . After more mucking aroun...

Re: Mucking around on the Commodore 64 DTV

@mrbombermillzy I think I've got three 1541s at the MO  Well, if you ever decide you can let one go, let me know. :D Im still gutted that I missed out, a guy (In the US IIRC) was selling 1581 drive 'kits' very cheaply 10 odd years ago. I already missed the boat on that by the time I found out ...

Re: Mucking around on the Commodore 64 DTV

I'd really appreciate that PhilC . :) Thanks. PM me to let me know what I owe you. Also, if you find you have too many 1541 drives and want to leave one on the corner of my table at CL3, and in exchange pick up an envelope with cash... Seriously, coding for the DTV has made me remember how muc...
