Yes, cut both tracks :)

If you zoom the image, you can see D0 & D1 on the IC holes.
Yep, I did see the labels. Just wanted to be ultra-sure before cutting. Thanks! :)

Re: derkom - Progress

Quick question about the GLUE DATALINE FIX ... In step 1, it says, "Cut D0 & D1 tracks on the bottom of the PCB" and the red indicator covers two tracks in the picture: cc1.JPG Is it correct to cut both tracks covered by the red line, not just the yellow track? Since the instructions say to cut D0 a...

16MHZ OPTIONAL FIX

Got the wire a little too hot here and melted back the insulation further than I'd like, but nothing risky is nearby, so it'll do.

(Yes, I did just cut that resistor off at the board instead of desolder it.)

I'm going to hold off doing the rest of the pull-ups in this area, because I want to use a SIL for that, and I don't have a spare sitting around. I can probably rustle one up next week.

Bodge #2 (HSYNC fix) in place... bodge2-1.jpg bodge2-2.jpg I figure I should post even the simple stuff, because I don't actually know what I'm doing here, so it gives people an opportunity to say, "hey! don't do that!" I'll take this moment to point out that yes, Atarian Computing put a "BA...

Re: New Player - Progress

I think that's the first time anyone has ever called me distinguished. Yes, Josh has passed on to me his partially completed STF remake board (technically is in the process of passing, as I won't have it until tomorrow). I will warn all of you that while I'm moderately capable with a soldering iron,...

Just to throw this in:

I am soaking in every post about the remake, and I am HUGELY impressed. We have a working ST that was NOT manufactured by Atari, this is AWESOME!
Congratulations to all the ones involved and keep up this incredible work!
Gonna throw in a "me too" here. Amazing work guys.

Cool, so from 250mVpp to 100mVpp? What kind of load are you running here?
Both times just using the load resistors supplied by exxos. :) "5V uses 2.2R (loads 5V rail with 2.2amps) and 12V uses 10R (loads 12V rail with 1.2amps)"
