Re: Falcon Upgrades

I use a Dell U2410 monitor. It supports some really odd scan rates and they're pretty easy to find. I've been able to push some very high resolutions (above 1200 x something, I don't remember now) If I run the bus at 25Mhz I can even get some very decent true colour modes. Did you end up getting a C...

Re: Went shopping and bought an A500+ Advice please.

Here's an arduino project you can build to read and write Amiga floppies with a PC. I built one, it works well.

Re: What is the definition of commercial use?

I guess you're using the "Download as ZIP" option - if you clone the repository with 'git', then 'git log' will show you the author's name and email address. mikro, I'm sure you hear this often, but you Sir, are the Internet's most valuable resource! I have the email address from git log as suggest...

What is the definition of commercial use?

Hi All, I want to build a SCSI to SD card adapter for my NeXT Station. It's designed by someone else and free on GitHub. I face the usual problem; I only want one but it's more economical (and mostly not a choice) to get 10 of everything. The designer's readme.md clearly states that commercial use i...

Re: Costs of running a forum like Exxos is running here

Ideally the best way is to have a reliable Internet link and enough power to keep your host connected 24/7. Request a static IP from your ISP and make it dedicated to that machine, ideally *nix. Set up BIND, and request that your domain provider gives you authority over your own FQDN. They will try ...

Re: Falcon Upgrades

You can put your name on the list for CT60e and or SuperVidel on AF (you vote on that survey thingy to do it)

Re: What is BURS?

Wonder if it's some sort of QA stage in the factory? Unless BURS is scribbled on it, it shall not pass. But why BURS specifically? Is it an acronym? Is it workshop talk? What does it mean? It's driving me nuts. The only people I can think to ask is Brad BeST and Steve Wiztronics as they've both bee...

What is BURS?

Hi. :)

Every single ST I've disassembled has the letters BURS scribbled in blue permanent marker across the top of the modulator shield. Does anyone know what this means? The curiosity is really getting to me. :)

Cheers,
Stuart
