Re: DFB1 Support thread
Maybe I ought to mail it back to you and you can look at it. I solder a bit, but the soldering on this board is certainly more precise than I am comfortable with. Are you okay with that? I'll certainly pay you something for your trouble and for the return postage. Let me know. There is a pattern in ...

Re: DFB1 Support thread
Good news: The updated flash tool worked and I was able to install the modified TOS 4.04.
Not good news: The TT-RAM seems like a no go. I tried testing with Yaart and it was error after error.

Re: DFB1 Support thread
I disabled the flash ram with a jumper and the acceleration works fine again, but even with just FASTRAM.PRG and NVDI in the auto folder no TT RAM is recognized.
I need to walk away from this for a bit as things just seem to be going off the rails.

Re: DFB1 Support thread
Welp, just like Coonsgm my unit also crashes out during the verification stage. I tried with the modified TOS and standard TOS 4.04. The DFB1 is now non functional and I have to boot the Falcon with the DFB1 disabled. I am in NTSC land. I wonder if that has something to do with it. Suggestions? -Pet...

Re: DFB1 Support thread
Frank, I ran Centbench and it reports the FPU at 19Mhz and the CPU at 39Mhz so the acceleration portion is working. IMG_0949.jpeg Steve, I took your advice and left the CPU alone. Foft, As I noted to Frank the acceleration is indeed functioning. ALT-RAM, however is not detected. There aren't any jum...

Re: DFB1 Support thread
It has the modified tos on the dfb1 flash chip. So with no jumpers on it’ll be accelerated and have the ttram enabled. Hmm, well that is interesting. Gembench and Sysinfo do not show any alt-ram, nor does the alt-ram show during the memory test at power up. Maybe the 68030 came a bit loose in shipp...

Re: DFB1 Support thread
Hi. I bought one of Foft's DFB1's and installed it in my Falcon today. My Falcon seems to work okay still, but I have no idea if the DFB1 is enabled or not. If I run SYSINFO it shows that the machine is operating at 16Mhz. None of the jumpers are enabled so I think it should be running at 40Mhz, but...
