Re: server attack problem

Given it's coming from AliBaba web hosting, it seems that it is probably a genuine attack, I just don't get why, it's not like the forum is worth attacking if you get my drift. I'd always spin it the other way: why not? Hosting is cheap and once your scripts spot an active IP address and then deter...

Re: Why orders cannot be amended!

I recently made an order including a power supply replacement that I would now rather not receive. It's being sent to the US, so perhaps it's not too late? I sent a private message about changing the order. I appreciate that it's my own fault for not checking the description more carefully. However...

Re: Newly acquired 520 STe questions

I've done this, and ... it's possible, but it's a tight squeeze as you suggest. It's tricky to fit onto the metal frame, and required a little bit of confidence between hacking the PSU frame and watching the couple of youtube videos/reading a couple of forum posts for how others approached it in the...

Re: Newly acquired 520 STe questions

Maybe one step closer to drop-in is the STPSU? I don't have one of these so I can't speak for it.

It does still require at least chopping the old wires on the mains connector, fitting the new PSU onto the old frame, and putting the mains wires into the PSU. The installation instructions are here.

Re: Newly acquired 520 STe questions

I think I'll get the replacement power supply, seems like a good idea. If it can definitely deal with US power outlets then that's a great bonus, just need the chord in that case. Skim the instructions first so you know the work that you need to do ( instructions here, I think ). The exxos PSU is g...

Rees often kicks out interesting videos. Not deep on the technical details, but interesting from the retro/collector's perspective: https://www.youtube.com/@ctrlaltrees/videos

Re: AtariAge acquired by Atari. Wow

If they pay him good money, I'm sure he'd do something. T3K was contentious when Atari's lawyers went after him, and clearly they made good with him for T4K and then Akka Arrh, but a few years ago that was no given. Again, current Atari ownership seems much better now than it was. I don't imagine an...
