Re: ST Action
Thanks for getting these done. I never saw a lot of ST Action on this side of the pond, but I always enjoyed the issues I did come across. I stupidly made an off-comment about some of the magazines that exxos has up, thinking they weren't quite done yet. Not knowing that the original Atari Computing...

Re: WANTED: Atari 400 Keyboard
Mine is pretty and looks perfect, as expected for NOS. I'll probably replace the ribbon cable on the broken one, then set it back as a spare. I thought about setting the NOS back, but there's no way I could leave an OK keyboard on it when I know I have a perfect one stored! I'd say this will be my o...

Re: WANTED: Atari 400 Keyboard
Will try BE yet again. Since your last reply, I not only emailed and heard back from Brad, but ordered a NOS keyboard, speaker, and interlock switch plunger, and received them all today! It's beautiful BTW. Did you type a subject line like Brad suggests, so that it gets his attention? My subject wa...

Re: WANTED: Atari 400 Keyboard
I guess, back in the day, I could really understand the appeal to replacing the keyboard, but today, I really cannot understand why someone would want to replace that beautiful 70s retro-future membrane keyboard with anything but another identical keyboard. Yes, it was horrible to type on, but it is...

Re: SCART Cable recommendations?
@bfollowell Yeah but also I think most STe users use the stereo connectors on the rear to speakers. But yeah you're right :) Well, that's probably true. You'll definitely get better sound that way over TV speakers, even if you were using and old CRT with big speakers. Definitely true if you're usin...

Re: SCART Cable recommendations?
@EvilFranky Just since nobody else has recommended these guys: https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/atari/st Retrogamingcables are highly regarded in the 'retro gaming' world for all consoles, so I would assume their ST cable is also of a high quality. Plus it is screened cable: "Constructed fr...

Re: SCART Cable recommendations?
I can't recommend the Cool Novelties cables highly enough. Excellent build and image quality.
They make several though, so just make certain to buy the one for the STe.

Re: New project: Atari MB in ATX format
You're probably right. MyTek's design incorporates many of the upgrades for the 8-bit line, whereas, with the exception of dual Pokeys, I think X_Angel's design is pretty much a stock 8-bit redesign. From the looks of things, this ST in ATX format looks similar; not a lot of upgrades, just a motherb...

Re: New project: Atari MB in ATX format
Sooooo, kind of like MyTek's Atari 1088XEL design for the 8-bits? Awesome! I can't wait to see how this progresses. Is it shaping up to be an ST or STe variant or either or?
