Re: TF1260 CPU fan

Fancontrol can turn the fan on or off, you have to use values 0 or 1, and that's about it.

To be honest I haven't tried running it for more than 2 loops. Maybe if I leave it running longer it will crash, I can check this later.

Re: TF1232 Running State of The Art, crashes at 50mhz, runs all day at 25mhz.

I was wondering if this is showing a timing error or something. The cpu runs fine at 50mhz on my a2000 using a tf536, with no crashes, but will error out after a few mins on the tf1232. Setting the jumper for 25mhz will allow it to run without crashes. whdload options have mmu disabled, and noautov...

Re: 68060 sources

That's a very narrow point of view. E.g. Quake would be impossible to do without FPU, same for many other games/demos. That's not true. Quake already exists in integer version but it has not been ported to the Amiga. Even the SoftFloat quake is almost fully playable on the LC060 at 100 Mhz. Now if ...

Re: 68060 sources

Also LC060s are abundant and cheap. They can run at ~100 mhz, people just need to start compiling using the -nofpu option. Even if they don't, with SoftIEEE, you can still run FPU code and get more performance out of it than with a 68882, people just need to stop being snobs about the FPU.

Re: 68060 sources

It's a lot of effort, added with the hefty purchase price, for an LC, isn't it? I'm with you on that but it was a punt and could have been a full fat 060. Not sure how much LC chips go for but would like to test it in my Falcon for compatibility. It was bought for $80 so about 70gbp This chip defin...

Re: TF536 vendors in US?

This is normally my region, but unfortunately I don't have a CDTV or relocators. In the past, I have shipped custom boards with a soldered gold CPU and a soldered IDE cable which supposedly fit inside the CDTV case without the need for a relocator, but I cannot physically verify this, although I nev...

Re: [TF1260] Which FW for optimal compatibility ?

Oh... I had no idea... Where to find the official builders list ? Been posted here many times :) Supaduper/go0se for the UK, Chucky for Europe and me for North America. Really sorry, I hope you still get a % on the sales ? To my knowledge Stephen only gets a cut from us, not from the stores.

Re: [TF1260] Which FW for optimal compatibility ?

Well, I ordered from AmigaStore.eu, is that an official reseller ? They said they'd update it for me ! Also I have noticed Vesalia offers an alternate version of the 060, XC68060RC50, is that a good choice ? (Too late for me, order placed with the LC version at AmigaStore.eu) Cheers ! AmigaStore (a...

Re: [TF1260] Which FW for optimal compatibility ?

Also next time you can buy an official card from one of the builders, as we will be happy to update it for you for free whenever needed.
