Re: A1200 Clockport USB Design (Open Discussion)

FC1307A, successor to the FC1306 (datasheet attached) Doesn't look very promising availability / price wise.

Re: TF536 - Freeze on Disk (write) access?

im currently testing this but i've not been able to reproduce. What disks are people using? I strongly recommend Kingston drives for amiga. I haven't noticed any difference with different disks or adapters. I am able to reproduce on V.H2 CF to IDE adapters using Transcend standard "Orange" and "Ind...

Re: files read corruption issue

The MaxTransfer was set to 0xffffff, changing it to 0x1fe00 solves the read corruption with the 10MB test image! Thanks! Did not know this, didn't have any issues with the default 0xffffff before. Damn! You mean I've just set up an A500 and wrote a 10MB SD card image for nothing!?! ;) I can confirm...

DIY CPU Socket For TF520 PGA114 / MC68020

Here is a solution for those hard to find PGA114 sockets for all you 020 aficionados itching to build a TF520. Same procedure as before, Order 10 PCBs and epoxy 4 together and drill out to make a jig to press the receptacles into the blanks. Recover the pin receptacles from round 2.54mm female pin h...

Re: Buffee the Vampire Slayer...

exxos I think it boils down to what your motivations are. To my knowledge no one got or expected to be paid to modify the TF536 firmware for the Atari. It was done, as far as I'm aware from reading the threads here, for passion not profit. It would be the same, I assume, for this project, these guy...

Re: Buffee the Vampire Slayer...

cmorley The issue there is that the specs you've quoted are not the specs that they are using. Generate the Gerbers from the lower layer count WIP board that they have already published here and up the layer count to 8 on PCBWay to account for the additional GND layers they mention. https://easyeda...

Re: Buffee the Vampire Slayer...

exxos Where are you getting these astronomical quotes for 8 layer PCBs? A 68000 DIP footprint is only 82mm X 26mm approx. 8 layer boards are expensive if you only order minimum quantity i.e. 5 pcs but you can order 50 pcs 82X26 PCBs in 8 layer ENIG finish from PCBWay for £280 delivered. With added ...

Re: TF534 or TF536 in Amiga 2000?

Are you using your own CF Card on the TF536? I decided to pay a little extra for my TF536 and had Alenppc add the one he recommended with flash and Amiga OS. I don't have any issues with it in my A2000. I initially had it socketed but bought a card for the processor slot to and have it running that...

Re: TF536 - Freeze on Disk (write) access?

No issues with WinUAE, I also use PFS and not FFS, and I do all the copying from the card to the same card. I disabled the parched scsi.device - you can download my card image if you like. I ran the maxtransfer tests suggested previously by TF on a FFS image as it is the image that I normally use a...

Re: TF536 - Freeze on Disk (write) access?

Does this happen if you put the same hardware setup into WinUAE + CF card as external drive? I'm wondering if this has anything at all do to with the TF card and more to do with the CF card and scsi.device driver interaction? At least lets rule this out. Is it valid to try this test in UAE with the...
