Re: TF1260 CPU fan

The fan linked above is 5V, IMO adding and inductive load to the already crowded 5V rail on your accelerated A1200 isn't ideal. The fan header on your 1260 provides a 12V supply. You can of course connect a 5V fan somewhere else e.g. a floppy splitter or your Solas™. However connecting to the 12V he...

Re: timing off running Starstruck Final release demo (2018-04-11)

near the end when the robot is smashing the names at the bottom of the screen please check if the music is in time with the actual smashing of each name... Is the music synced with the text smashing or is it playing a sample on a separate channel each "smash" ? It looks/sounds synchronise...

Re: timing off running Starstruck Final release demo (2018-04-11)

Runs identically with no obvious timing issues under: tf1260r1_2023_05_19_a47c463_68090_IT4 and tf1260r1_2021_12_17_1742_4514ac9_alpha Using the same 1200 hardware listed above. The 1200 motherboard is stock with the exception of a recap and a replaced line filter, no timing/stability fixes applied....

Re: timing off running Starstruck Final release demo (2018-04-11)

Looks equivalent to UAE to me. TF1260 Revision 1e with Rev6 CPU 128MB (2X AS4C32M16SB-7TCN) 50MHz 1D.4 Motherboard 3.1 ROMs & WB3.9 The section with the chick on the robot arm inside the turbine has some rough looking graphical text synchronisation with the music. But this seems intentional ? Ed...

Re: TF360 with Kipper2k riser

The angle that the TF360 is inserted at, shown in your photos *shouldn't* cause an issue as it looks close enough to horizontal to still give good contact. Remove the top cover from the CD32 and then remove the top RF shield (if possible heat the metal tabs gently using a hairdryer or similar low te...

Re: TF536 help getting cards to work

The socket you are using in picture "Card3_top" is a PGA121 however the CPU you are using is a PGA128. I assume you are using the same type of socket for all three cards due to the unsoldered inner socket pin holes on the other two cards? Your socket is therefore missing power pins to the ...

Re: Pico RGB 2 HDMI - anyone fancy building?

Looks like a great solution with a lot of potential. Unfortunately the analogue front ends it lists (WM8213) appears to be EOL and out of stock everywhere. The author also includes references for the WM8199 but it is similarly hard to obtain and software support hasn't been implemented yet by the lo...

Re: A TF1232 happened

The last few posts on this thread related to the 1F91C issues 8Bit is having could probably do with being split off into a new topic in the TF330/1230 channel by some kind moderator :)

Re: A TF1232 happened

@terriblefire may I ask You to take a look on compatibility issue of the CPUs with 1F91C mask - have problems with them on TF1230, display remains black, card doesn't boot when CPU with this mask is installed. Just tested 6 genuine 1F91C MC68030RC50Cs in a 1230. All boot to workbench without any is...

Re: T360 keeps hanging

The freezing issue sounds like the card has an hardware problem either with the CPLD or the CPU so it's on its way back to me to be sorted out. The clock control issue is likely unrelated. As supaduper points out, that is usually caused by a version mismatch between the cpuspeed binary and the firmw...
