Re: Basilisk II Atari

Thanks a lot for this new version (and for your work obviously). I can happily report that this works fine on my 4/4 TT with HDDriver+ACSI CE in TT high (as did the previous one). Aditionally it does work in ST high, too. It might be my lack of coffee, but it seems to be a tad slower - with only 4MB...

Re: C64 disk drive emulator. Which one?

I‘d recommend the Ultimate 1541II+ - apart from the drive emulation it also allows you to change the OS ROM, use fastloader ROMs, use cartridges, emulate REU and Easyflash, network, tape etc. etc. It copes with (afaik) everything out there regarding fastloaders/media, and you can even upload your ow...

Just got an unsuspected, old-glue-shaped letter - nice, thank you and HNY :D

Re: Atari 520 ST video issues

(garbage at the bottom of the screen, Sometimes I even got part the Ocean logo from the intro at the bottom). The game works fine and only the game screen is affected. For some reason I checked for a non-open bottom border - but this is sth different (which I‘ve seen on the old Glue machine too). B...

Re: Atari 520 ST video issues

Thanks again for the help. These demos indeed work and I see a full screen (So I need a newer glue?) Thanks for testing - since those screens work and the Glue is the only chip issuing the DE signal (aka telling the shifter if it should display border or image data) it‘s probably a fair test to swi...

Re: Atari 520 ST video issues

It's on a TFT but the lines are consistent irrespective of whether it's directly into the SCART on the TV or via the OSSC and they move with the image as I adjust the OSSC and the display moves across the screen or stretches/shrinks so it's not a TFT artifact, especially as the OSSC is upscaling 4x...

stephen_usher wrote: Sun Nov 22, 2020 11:29 am Most of my STs are fine, but one shows regular vertical bars, especially in green and blue.
Is that image taken using a TFT? If not, do those bars show on a CRT? Esp. the SC1224?
I‘m asking because the lines I see on several machines are mostly grey (a change in overall brightness).

Re: Atari 520 ST video issues

The shifter is version 38A all other costum chips are version 38 without the A. The glue chip is C025915-38 JH23-38 5J2 77 So can I assume that the demo issues are glue chip related? Should i get a 38A glue? That‘s indeed odd because a -38 glue isn‘t an old glue (-20 would be an old one). Can you c...

Re: Atari 520 ST video issues

You need to check the video shifter part number.. Some early shifters (I think marked -20 or -28) do not work with demos.. There is a thread on this *somewhere* but I would check you have a "normal" shifter C025914-38A. As for those interference lines, that comes up every few weeks on var...
