Re: A new riser?

There are no spare CPLD pins. Its an utter nightmare making it all fit as it is. Even on the riser.. The Pi Compute might be a nice option on the A4000 where board space is less restricted. For the price of a working A4000 without battery damage you could buy a nice second hand car over here, even ...

Re: A new riser?

I kinda dont see the point for a clockport when you have real USB ports... Wouldnt it be better to make the ARM look like a USB controller on a clockport? Dealing with quirks of legacy hardware is nightmareish. --snip-- There is nothing stopping this from happening now, its a software thing. You re...

Re: A new riser?

IMHO, the one thing we need to keep from Kipper's riser is the 23-pin RGB port. Why? Because every single Amiga Scart cable is designed for it + it lets you use external scandoublers and commodore CRT monitors. With the rest go nuts... :D The only other feature I'd be interested in besides the keyb...

Re: Clock generator for TF360 rev 1

Makes sense, thanks for explaining.

It's a shame that it would not directly port over to other TF boards because they would need a machine with NVram too.

Re: Clock generator for TF360 rev 1

I would create an 64k autoconfig device which appears as product code 200 or something. It will have a register inside it that i can poke to set three output pins on the CPLD.. This is really basic stuff. its like switching on 3 LEDs from a memory write. This would be awesome, if you have a few ext...

It’s a separate switch mode module. Linear regulator isn’t up to the job
Sorry, my mistake.
I meant for the voltage translation for the bus.

For each unhappy "customer" you have at least a dozen who are happy as f**k. Problem is that you don't see those people as they are too busy playing with new hardware :D
Second that, your work is much appreciated by every single Amiga fan I know!!
