Re: Russ

Haven't seen soldering skills like that since I had a Xbox 1 repair job for a gameshop, everybody tried to mount their own modchips, and a lot used the big 100W irons from the hardware store... In one case all the pcb connections were gone from a 16 pin connector  , made it work in the end th...

Re: Can anyone identify this part?

Those fuses are for PCB mounting, and those are much smaller, also those fuses would probably not smell. If I were to guess it would also be a buss bar, just measure the top and the bottom piece of metal and it will probably be fully conductive. The defective part will probably be something else, as...

Re: A500+ Help me Obi Wan, you're my only hope.

For the blink codes look at: http://www.lemonamiga.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13978 The first thing i would do is use http://www.amigapcb.org/ to check the traces for breaks and shorts, also check under IC's when in doubt. If you have the correct PLCC puller i would also reseat Agnus after cleaning t...

Re: PJ-V2's 530 Build

IMHO, Personally i would never use two power supply's (USB and bench), that is asking for trouble, especially if you didn't connect the GND wire before the 5v with the USB already connected. Does one of the CLPD's get especially hot? If the RPi reads a nice 5v (this depends on the used PC/cables) I ...

Re: Advice on fixing an Amiga 500+

Ok, make sure you have 1mb of ram installed as a max as KS 1.2 does not support 2MB chip if I remember correctly. (No mem expansion inserted) Did you try(with the correct extractor tool) to extract the Agnus and inspect it's socket?, sometimes just taking it out and putting it back is enough. I have...
