Re: FPU Options

My personal preference for this sort of thing is to avoid any seller that references China, since its probably an indication you'll be taking pot luck with whatever you're buying. You might get a 68882 that'll run @ 50Mhz, but you might get something that isn't actually a 68882 at all, and won't wor...

Re: Atari to release throwback console with classic games, joystick

Seems like everybody is at it these days, Konami has just announced this: http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2019/06/konami_just_revealed_the_pc_engine_turbografx-16_mini Although to be fair to Konami, they did swallow up Hudson so do have the rights to the console and name. Seems there are a lot of o...

Nah, it's a PYE. Nothing fancy here!

Wondering if that rainbow accent on that Ferguson was to match the Spectrum?

Pretty sure it doesn't have either the logo or the RGB sockets :(

Re: Atari 800XL: Ultimate 1MB upgrade

Is that a Ferguson TX RGB TV by any chance? I think it 'might' be a Ferguson, they were pretty popular at the time, but I don't believe it has RGB capability, since it just seems to have an RF connector on the back. I will try and have a look later. I recently got a Dell 20" display that has composi...

Re: C103253 REV.5 - STFM 1MB Upgrade

Ok, so I went to try and have a go at this over the weekend, and am no further ahead!! I think the solder paste I have is a bit too thick for the bore of needle I'm using. Either that or the small syringe I have just can't apply enough pressure to the paste. Having a rethink on how I'm going to do t...

Allmost all IDE to SD Adapter works only with CableSelect and not Master/Slave ...
The problem I seem to have is that it doesn't get any power, even when using an external PSU. Even when the device is only connected to power.

Works fine on my USB IDE adaptor though.

Re: ST-IDE-ROM Dev Board v1 - BETA Testers

My second board has arrived, will start building today :) How are you getting on? First board runs a treat (I'm using HDDRIVER), just need to get the parts I don't have ordered for this one. It's worked with full sized HDs, Laptop HDs, CF cards, IDE ZIP drive (Incl ejecting and reinserting) and it ...

Re: Atari 800XL: Ultimate 1MB upgrade

Ok, here we are, part two final fitting and reassembly! First, you will need to solder 4 wires from the supplied connector to the CPU as per this diagram: cpu.jpg Credit to Lotharek for this diagram. And it will end up looking something like this: CPU_connection.jpg Since the Upper shield can no lon...
