Re: resurrecting an STFM

My experience with the Marpet style RAM upgrades is that the MMU header can often displace the connectors in the MMU socket, and in fact I had exactly this issue on exactly this model of mainboard not long ago. One part of the puzzle with this particular board is that the MMU is actually fitted the ...

Re: My new 130XE

However, you've made me want to also install Sophia, do you have a link to where I can buy one from, as I'm struggling to find it, thanks. It isn't available in a shop, but you can PM Simius at Atari Age and ask for one, it is around 66 EUR. There is also a RGB Variant, and you have to decide on th...

Re: My new 130XE

Very nice indeed :) I have a 65XE that I've owned since new, somehow I've managed to cart it round with me wherever I went, and didn't succumb to the urge to sell it. I did this MOD: http://blog.3b2.sk/igi/file.axd?file=2012%2F5%2FUltraVideo+XE+1.0.pdf to improve the video output as the modulator on...

Re: Plan for 2019

I think you really need to read the about all the goals before slating the project and all the people who are involved in supporting it. I second this. There are many STF/Ms in the UK marketplace that are failing for one reason or another, or simply exist as just a mainboard. I've picked up 4 mainb...

Re: Expansion header for CPU thoughts

Would it be possible for future boards to have VGA output too? I guess this has probably already been put forward, but hey! You mean the connector ? That could replace the DIN13.. Though I hope to use FPGA shifter ultimately, so would have HDMI output. Although I see the appeal of HDMI out, for me ...
