Re: Maplin for sale?

I have a Maplin temperature controlled soldering iron, and it has been very reliable over the years.

Also got a 120W universal laptop PSU the other day, 60% off. Was £45 and I got it for £18. It's a good PSU and includes a USB charge socket too.

If anything, the squares might have to be fraction smaller than the CPU. Square is actually quite hard to fit in even with just one row of pins inserted.
Are the pins hard to fit if the square goes in first?

I didn't even notice. I got this photo from my archive. Not sure on the status. I should check it some time.
Cool, be interesting to know what you find.

Interesting, your second bank of 512K, the RAM in the sockets, has no decoupling capacitors, does the extra memory work ok?

Don't know yet :)

I guess if Troed is printing them, he can add the "dummy pins" to the CPU as well if needs be.
Fair enough, would be good to see the results from both options. Shame I don't have a 3d printer myself, or I'd give it a go. Maybe later in the year....

Re: STE V1.5 32MHz BOOSTER - STATUS

That is pretty much as I expected, as in similar to MMU adapters. Not dissimilar to the way Alan H's IDE board plugs into the PLCC socket, albeit with a CPU in place. I guess the question I have, is when plugged in like this, does the plastic square support the PLCC socket spring connectors enough, ...

Re: STE V1.5 32MHz BOOSTER - STATUS

So the idea would be that it ends up like a hand assembled version of this:

Will the idea be that the plastic square will be fixed to the PCB?

Atari Mono and Colour monitors available

Hi All I've been in touch with somebody in the UK who has both Mono and Colour Atari displays that they are looking to move on. I believe they are an SM124 and an SC1425. I was offered them, but simply don't have the room for 2 full size displays. If anybody is interested, let me know and I'll put y...

Re: C103414 - STFM 4 x SMT DRAM

I like the idea that it's a Friday afternoon workaround because they got higher capacity RAM chips :D

Interesting to see that SIMM socket wires up to it though.

Re: C103414 - STFM 4 x SMT DRAM

What is that empty section to the right of the empty bank, with the large cap to the top right?
