Re: RTC SUPER CAP WIP

I seem to recall that the thinking was something like 6 months, the DS1315 has a very small current draw, so I can imagine it would happily work that long. I forgot about this project :) 6 months was theoretical based on current draw (according to the datasheet of the RTC IC)... ... but I did not t...

Re: RTC SUPER CAP WIP

Super capacitor - I remember them from video recorders . Capacity in range of 1 farad ? How long it can supply clock chip (when no power) ? I'm at work, so can't check, but I think it is 5 farads. Speaking to exxos, if I recall correctly, I seem to recall that the thinking was something like 6 mont...

Re: RTC SUPER CAP WIP

Well, I've not had a great deal of ST time due to family stuff, so very behind on this thread at the moment. However, the last month or so has been good, and I have caught up quite a bit. I now have the external clock cart built and working, and I'll be testing it this week. I used a proper RTC boar...

Re: no-software internal RTC

It's slightly annoying that I did have a picture of a battery back up mod for the ST keyboard, but I don't seem to be able to find it right now :( Peters site has the diagram of it. I have seen it done on keyboards I have had in the past, but mostly was just leaked batteries so got binned. I meant ...

Re: no-software internal RTC

It's slightly annoying that I did have a picture of a battery back up mod for the ST keyboard, but I don't seem to be able to find it right now :( I think the issue here is that the keyboard RTC is probably not Y2K compliant, so is it worth the effort of development? Given the tiny size of the RTC s...

Re: Steem site vanished ?!

I'm a little stunned by this, the thread seemed like a normal healthy discussion, then suddenly everything has gone nuclear.

I really don't get it, I just don't. Sad for the community, it just doesn't make sense. :o

Re: PLCC FUNKY TO PLCC NORMAL ADAPTERS

Damn, if only I'd seen this before I ordered my TOS switcher this morning, I probably need at least 2!!

Spent too much in December/Jan on Atari stuff, I'd probably better wait until payday

Internal RTC by me, Troed, Thibaut and exxos.
I go by my nickname Maeke here. Most don't know who Thibaut is.
Btw for someone who wasn't so sure about his skills at first, you certainly did a nice job.
I've changed to Maeke :)

And thank you for the compliment!
