Re: Exxos will like this colour of Switch Lite :)

Ah bugger. Sell it for spares and get an "unpatched" full Switch? I've bought lots of "broken" unpatched switches over the years from fb market place etc. and you can bag bargains (Sub £80) if you know what to look for. Usually they can be bought with one of these faults : "...

I know, I'm still pulling what little hair I have left out, however I have managed to find a donor board on eBay and the original is still workable if I can get all the parts reinstalled.

Re: Exxos will like this colour of Switch Lite :)

Well, I'm not a happy bunny :( I was adjusting my position, slipped with the tweezers and knocked a load of components off the Switch around where I was trying to fit the M92T36 USB charge chip!!!!   I think I've recovered all the components, but I'm not sure I'll be able to fit them...

Re: OSI 600D Superboard Build

OK, so C6 replaced with the correct value but no difference. I also pulled U62 in case that was bad, It wasn't, and also tried with one leg of C6 lifted, but still no output on Pin 6, so replacement CA3130's are ordered. Provided I then get output from that I can then start to chase down where the o...

Re: OSI 600D Superboard Build

Phew! :-) It's a good first step, but I'm not out of the woods just yet. I also need to get the cassette input working, and it isn't... Screenshot 2024-04-18 at 13.16.39.png So this is the first stage of the cassette in port, and testing is quite simple as it goes. First you jumper pin 9 (AUX) and ...

Re: My journey with IBS ( irritable bowel syndrome) and the rest of it

I think I read somewhere there is some sort of nose insert which can widen the inside of your nose to help you breathe better.. That may be something I could also try. There is one thing for me that is also of note for my sinus issues, and that is having wax in my ears. I suffer mostly in my right ...

Re: My journey with IBS ( irritable bowel syndrome) and the rest of it

Oxymetazoline is known to cause swelling of the mucous membrane when overused (typically longer than 7 days). I have some experience with this in the family. Ironically it causes the exact same symptoms that it is meant to counteract. Maybe this is some part of your problem. Possibly yes, but I had...

Re: OSI 600D Superboard Build

I've been getting a lot of great help from the folks at OSIweb.org, you can see the main post from over there here: My Klyball 600D build Based on what I'd been told over there, I went back and double checked and noticed something I'd missed earlier. Pins 2,4 & 16 of U64 were not starting out lo...

Re: Exxos will like this colour of Switch Lite :)

OK, so the parts arrived for the Switch whilst I was in the office yesterday: IMG20240418075814.jpg I'm going to leave the connector to the very end, as it'd be very annoying to fit it then damage it before I had a chance to reassemble the machine, and with the new charge chip installed we should be...

Re: Issues getting diag cart to run

If you plug it in 'chips down' it'll definitely damage it. I don't know whether it's the ROM or something else on the board. Fair enough I have probably broken it. Didnt work either side up but the atari boots without it plugged in. Should really state which side up it goes as a lot of these cards ...
