Re: VGA for low and medium res?

If you look at the VGA cable/adapter market, there are many out there, some which are Hi-Res and some are Low/Med Res, such as: https://www.exxoshost.co.uk/atari/last/storenew/#0107 A similar switch is made by Centurion Tech, and there are others available. Hi-Res will work with virtually any VGA di...

Re: Price increases in China?

Ahh, I think you mis-read my post.

I said the prices dropped by 50-60p, not that they were 50-60p.

Your pic came out fuzzy my end, so I didn't notice the $ signs.

I just did a search in UTSOURCE for 68HC000.

This looks like the same as your search:

Re: Price increases in China?

For the older chips, there has to be an element of we are running out because nobody is making them any more. I just looked up the 68HC000 on UTSOURCE and they are coming in at £3-£4 apiece if bought individually, with prices dropping around 50-60 pence if you buy 100 plus items. I've had quite a lo...

Aw, damn shame it's still down.

Quick Q, have you tried to boot it with different RAM configurations i.e. swap around the SIMMs so you try different combos and only two at a time.

Re: Lead-free soldering

Still using lead based, mostly because I got a massive roll for free a few years back. About 370C seems to be the butter zone for me.

Re: STE " It's dead Jim"

MagneticFever, I can recommend these from exxos' store:

I replaced a broken reset switch with one of these and it was a 100% perfect fit.

Re: The Union Demo on gotek?

Thanks that's really helpful. I'm guessing that if I install an ST emulator on pc, that I can copy the prg file to a blank disc image and then transfer that to gotek? Likely to work? I've not tried the HxC options myself, all my Goteks are FlashFloppy, but I find it useful to have an emulator on ha...
