Even something simple like https://www.aliexpress.com/item/LM317T- ... 52269.html would be useful. Looks like it has a multi turn pot, so should get good accuracy with it.
Hmm, interesting....

Thinking of making them with THT Attinies and in kit form; aka less work for ube. Interesting redesign. My temptation after insta...

Re: STE Dual TOS switcher widget

Apparently I have one of only 3 in existence! The hardest part was finding R100 to take the reset signal from :pullhair: It's actually on the front left of the board, next to an axial capacitor, running north-south (Cartridge port is west, Floppy is east, back is north, front is south!). The pick of...

STE Dual TOS switcher widget

I'm very lucky to have got my hands on one of these: IMG_20180118_223024.jpg It's basically a tiny device from Urban Jonsson, that lets you use a combination of power off/on, plus a press of the reset switch, to select which of the 2 versions of TOS in exxos' excellent fast ROM switcher for the STE ...

Re: Daniel/New Beat

People also forget how long it takes to do this sort of thing too, and your time is precious. I know from working on the RTC project, just how much time it took, what with research, breadboarding, prototyping, testing, re-doing things, and that project was tiny by comparison to some of your projects...

Re: Falcon issues

I had one Falcon like yours. the HDD was dead and the FDD was stuck due to many years without use. you can fix the FDD by cleaning it, force the internal arm to move out. not sure if a Gotek will be useful on a gotek has all software are starting up from the HDD. The Gotek should start fine without...

Re: dev-docs mirror & php issues

I really don't get why it so problematic to see the advantages of having redundancies and backups? For me as an IT pro this is a daily necessity. And we all have seen sites vanishing over time and content being lost forever. So why that reluctance to see the advantages of having a mirror? Why not w...

Re: RTC SUPER CAP WIP

I seem to recall that the thinking was something like 6 months, the DS1315 has a very small current draw, so I can imagine it would happily work that long. I forgot about this project :) 6 months was theoretical based on current draw (according to the datasheet of the RTC IC)... ... but I did not t...
