Re: Exxos will like this colour of Switch Lite :)
OK, so the parts arrived for the Switch whilst I was in the office yesterday: IMG20240418075814.jpg I'm going to leave the connector to the very end, as it'd be very annoying to fit it then damage it before I had a chance to reassemble the machine, and with the new charge chip installed we should be...

Re: Issues getting diag cart to run
If you plug it in 'chips down' it'll definitely damage it. I don't know whether it's the ROM or something else on the board. Fair enough I have probably broken it. Didnt work either side up but the atari boots without it plugged in. Should really state which side up it goes as a lot of these cards ...

Re: General Stuff(tm)
Today's fun has been organising hedge cutting at my Dad's house form 300 miles away at short notice. Yesterday I had a decorator visit the house and give a quotation for external redecoration and he gave an offer to start today, which I jumped at. This morning he texted me saying that to get to one...

Re: OSI 600D Superboard Build
Yout have got a 74LS76 and not a 74LS76A haven't you? The truth tables are quite different and with an A variant the K and J values are ignored by the second stage. Screenshot_20240416_121850.jpeg P.S. Putting a logic analyser onto U64 pins 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11 would be useful as the relative timing o...

Screenshot_20240416_121850.jpeg Hmm, it was actually an 74LSAN, I have swapped for a 7476 and no different. Will see if I have another...

Re: OSI 600D Superboard Build
OK, back to cassette interface again. This is the schematic for the cassette out: Screenshot 2024-04-16 at 10.52.00.png What I know so far is as follows: U64 pins 2,4 and 16 are receiving the data that is to be saved to cassette as expected. U64 pins 1 & 6 are getting a clock signal of 4.8Khz U6...

Re: Stuff and Things.
OK then. This just arrived in the post: IMG20240415094431.jpg IMG20240415094425.jpg The weird thing is, I didn't order it, and whilst I can pretty much guess what it is, since it fits my Evercade, I have no idea where it came from, or what files it will accept. Weird. I suppose I need to go and look...

Re: Suggested way to copy files to SC on PC for BBAN HDD emu
As a few others have suggested, HDDRIVER or PPERAs driver allow for byteswapping so you can just move the SD cards between the ST and PC in order to transfer files. My interpretation of the question is that you want to move files to a disk that may not have HDDRIVER installed but ICD, and you don't ...

Re: General Stuff(tm)
The Mac Portable regulated power supply unit is complete. I designed and printed a box for the electronics (everything hot glued) and it all tests good. IMG_3674.jpeg The built-in ammeter is useful as it shows when the system is charging the battery and when it reduces the CPU clock too. When suspe...
