ube finds work for idle hands, or a new take on a Falcon connector.

While waiting for my CosmosEx’s 3.0 to arrive I designed a HD50 (Falcon external SCSI) to IDC 50 pin (internal SCSI-II) connector. Now I just need a scsi cable so I can test this. :D

Re: Reverting Skunk.

I looked at the wrong version l5380 has a1 on 36. L53c80 has ground on that pin. So no big deal.

Bad trace maybe? I wish there were more service bulentins out there...

Re: Reverting Skunk.

I've been running it with a picoPSU (ok, connected to a CT60e :D ) so the PSU isn't the issue(?). From the U63 pad, connect to U36 (Pin110). Pay attention to the shortest possible cable length! The trace leading away from pin 110 is broken. I'll guess i'll just lift that wire. But that takes me to m...

Reverting Skunk.

Hi, I'm having some problems with my scsi interface on my skunkified Falcon and I thought I'd remove everything that's not stock in the machine just to be sure. And the Skunk does not work, just freezes my machine when loading Skunk32. Looking at the PCB and comparing it to the 74F04 fix over here o...

Re: Undeletable objects in Eagle ?!

Re-running a DRU will make them go away. I used to get these when I drew a ground plane using too thin lines after setting a thickness on the power net class.

Considering the capacity, 0.1mAh, a supercap is probably better, yes.

Re: ubeswitch - video adapter.

Yes, it should. They're designed to be used with a 3.5mm A/V plug. It should always work with "normal" headphones, can't say anything about Android/iPhone headsets but they will most probably not work since the ring layout is probably different from this design. That's what I thought. I tried two s...
