Re: Atari ST Parts group on Thingiverse

Any progress? I'm not sure what I can do, I can't find any options regarding upload restrictions or anything. Perhaps someone else who's member of the group can try if they experience the same thing? I've read a few posts on how Thingiverse blocks a lot of stuff for new users as some sort of anti s...

Re: Icky - Progress

Wow!!!

Note on RAM access: The Shifter might have glitchy RAM access without that affecting the CPU RAM access. The latter obviously is fine else we wouldn't see Desktop.

Re: resurrecting an STFM

Resistors R59, R60, and R61 clipped, and possibly a bonus resistor soldered in alongside?: https://i.imgur.com/ExS2EmX.jpg These arrived as you see, not connected to anything unlike what the Marpet instructions suggest. For those resistors, I'd consider just removing the hot glue and resoldering ea...

Re: SR98 trimmer pot

IIRC the PSU is going to be around 5.3V before you trim it down (assuming you did the resistor replacement). You can turn the pot counter-clockwise one hour and it should end up around 5.1V, after that you can start the ST and use your volt meter to get to 5.0. Of course, this is assuming your SR98 ...

Re: New video connector ?

Here's exactly what should be done: _Mux_ Shifter RGB and Mono signals to VGA RGB output. It's up to the user of the board to have a compatible monitor connected. For those with a multisync monitor they'll need no switch, all modes with display. (This will become even more important with the doubleS...

Re: Icky - Progress

I think the MFP being warm is a bit strange. Not exactly the fastest chip on the board.

Re: Icky - Progress

BTW, that picture is really strange. The bombs are perfectly clean and stable, which means that the Shifter works well. But I can' figure where the strange background could come from... Yes it is strange but actually quite pretty I've pondered it for a while. Either the RAM contents* change from 0s...
