Re: C103414 - STFM 4 x SMT DRAM

Looks like the designer assumed data bus would have resistors like the address bus. Same spacing, right?

520 STFM 256kx4 DIL to 1Mx4 SOJ

I recently acquired a 520 STFM (IMP chipset, 4 DIL RAM chips, see https://www.exxoshost.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=749 ) which I wanted to bring a bit more up to spec. Adding four 256kx4 would've brought it to 1Mb - but replacing the existing four 256kx4 with 1Mx4 would take it to 2MB in total...

Re: Suska board

I've just had a reply from Wolfgang saying that the chosen FPGA cannot run _slower_ than 16MHz*. While I don't understand how this mean the cores could've been tested in-situ during development, it definitely means that very few demos (and some games) will run correctly. It's possible the VHDL could...

Re: NEW MSTE/TT & ST PSU ? (well not really)

I must confess, since the ST already has an external power brick I think a picoPSU is the best choice there. I desoldered the exising power connector, put a picoPSU internally and it supplies the 5/12/-12 in ample amounts to also be used for other internal mods like an HxC slim etc ... Of course, th...

Re: Suska board

He keeps asking me to extract the files on Troed's Closure demo. I keep telling him he won't let me do this It's not about letting ... there are no files :P It's true old school track loading. There exists no filed debug version either, I use all memory from $200 and up so bye bye TOS after the boo...

Re: LED's and using the right colour for the right Atari ST Model

Yeah these are missing from the table. 1040STF with red led, might have long button drives but not always, and I think all of them are 8.01MHz CPUs (since they don't need PAL color clock)

Recapping floppy drives

(a.k.a, bring back the dead) I have two piles of floppy drives in the closet. One of drives that no longer work, one of working drives. Usually I try really hard to source Epson 340 drives so that I can move the front bezel and eject button from the dead 380 to them, but after a while I run out of d...
