Re: Sidequest: VGA scan doubler

A cheapish scan doubler will do wonders for the ST community - awesome!. Everyone with a socketed Shifter can plug'n'play it right out the gate I assume?

Re: For Sale: TL866A Programmer

I'll just chime in to say that this is an awesome programmer at a great price. Love mine (even non-A modified).

Someone should really pick this up ;)

Re: Project: HDMI/DVI out for STFM

Well, yes, when doing the doubleST I do get this effect and use a small AUTO program to "clear" the Shifter (same as fullscreen demos do) which seems to work pretty well. I'll need to look into my test code and see if it's in a state where I can attach the program here (and also if it works in mono,...

Re: Project: HDMI/DVI out for STFM

Now read up. Regarding Closure, the last time I checked my opinion was that it's a _single_ (or close to single) issue. The way I clear the Shifter at the left border is "different" and so the FPGA Shifter is one bitplane "off" when getting data from the MMU. Otoh, not a priority to fix, since it's ...

Re: Boosting STFM: 16MHz bus, 64MHz Shifter

I've understood that there's been some real progress on the FPGA Shifter reset issues lately, while I've been much too occupied with my day job to spend time on this. I don't really have more time, but I'm really really eager to get back on track with this so I'll try to make some :) My test machine...

Re: Project: HDMI/DVI out for STFM

Just popping up quickly since I briefly saw my name mentioned. I'm way way way overloaded workwise* and had to cut down on all other activities, like retro. I'll try to get back up to speed and see what software I have to help out with and to test the new, sadly still unpacked, Shifter board on my h...

Of course the drawback to this is if anyone posts any motherboard images where I would prefer a large resolution.. but the immediate issue is general uploaded images.
We'll just UUEncode them and post as regular text ;)

Re: V2.5 BOOSTER CURRENT PROTOTYPE STATUS (SEC BOOSTER)

I never thought about it with the floppy acting up... Can you format a floppy OK on it now then or does that act up still? I've had everything working nicely but currently (since trying to get the HDMI board in) the machine is in non-working condition :) Will get back to it at some point. I need to...

Re: V2.5 BOOSTER CURRENT PROTOTYPE STATUS (SEC BOOSTER)

Don't know if it's related but on the doubleST I've had, several times, that "everything" seemed to work ok except floppy. So far it's been fixed by "luck" just shifting the clocks about a bit - which if I've understood your comments before mostly means I've skewed DTACK.
