Re: STE V1.5 32MHz BOOSTER - STATUS

These are 24.40mm square, 5mm thick, with a 5 mm rounded corner.. Basically it's just got to fit snug in the socket like the CPU does. Problem is too small and it won't hold the pins on the socket, too large and it physically wont fit. Perfect - I'll try to get something done this week. I need to d...

Re: STE V1.5 32MHz BOOSTER - STATUS

What's the dimension and needed tolerance of those squares? You're saying that they're really expensive .. 3D printers have very different capabilities depending on how much you spend on them. The one I have (Ultimaker 2) has very good tolerance levels. The first layer gets a bit squished and needs ...

Re: Recapping floppy drives

Went to work on a Sony that almost never managed to get the motor running. Didn't have any SMD 10uF at home so I used two electrolytic 47uF on the same spots as described by exxos. Seems to have made the trick. Only doing it on the motor on signal and not the 5V supply didn't get there the whole way...

Re: Suska board

Maybe IDE doesn't work with DOS partitions for some reason.. but ASCI does  Is the SD card over an IDE bus? Then yeah, those need to be byteswapped for TOS and will then not be visible to the PC. Unless you run a patched TOS that can boot from non-byteswapped media. ACSI doesn't have that is...

Re: Suska board

From what I can tell, the CF card Wolfgang supplied as a demo version of HD8 on it. I can do a 1MB partition with TOS box selected, and Suska will boot to desktop that way..BUT.. If I format as DOS & TOS , still doing the same 1MB partition, Suska just comes up with four bombs after the Atari logo ...

Re: C103414 - STFM 4 x SMT DRAM

Looks like the designer assumed data bus would have resistors like the address bus. Same spacing, right?

520 STFM 256kx4 DIL to 1Mx4 SOJ

I recently acquired a 520 STFM (IMP chipset, 4 DIL RAM chips, see https://www.exxoshost.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=749 ) which I wanted to bring a bit more up to spec. Adding four 256kx4 would've brought it to 1Mb - but replacing the existing four 256kx4 with 1Mx4 would take it to 2MB in total...
